Do I have to decode again for Orbit?
Posted by: gorddaru - 07-26-2024, 03:51 AM - Forum: OrBit Q&A - Ask your questions here! - Replies (2)

Dear,

I used Vdash. But I want to try Orbit. When I was using Vdash, they did the CEM PIN registration(or decoding?) remotely. If the car is already cem unlocked, do I have to decode it again to use Orbit?

regards,

Can I remove a user and reset with Orbit?
Posted by: Mig529 - 07-23-2024, 02:31 AM - Forum: OrBit Q&A - Ask your questions here! - Replies (7)

Long story short I purchase a used 2023 polestar 2 and I was unaware that there were two keys.. I got the big one not the small key so I couldn't reset the the system or delete his account.. I called him and he told me that the key is nowhere to be found and oh well too late I messed up. Polestar LA wants to sell me the key at premium price and I honestly don't need it.. can Orbit be useful to do a total reset  and delete his account ? I want to save money otherwise I will just keep driving with his username. Thank !

  OrBit Beta v0.9.96 release notes
Posted by: Power6 - 07-23-2024, 12:45 AM - Forum: Releases - No Replies

0.9.96 is released. This is bug fix release.

(Latest version of OrBit can always be downloaded here: https://app.spaycetech.com/orbitupdate/download) The "update notification" in OrBit will be sent later, but you can download the updated install right away from the link.

New features/fixes:

  • Fix flash fail when CSD module (infotainment screen) is not responding. - On some cars, connection is lost when the CSD module is not responding during the flash programming process. The lost connection then causes the flash process to fail with a "Programming process failure" error. Timing has been adjusted so the connection to the car does not time out while waiting for the CSD to respond.

Delete uneccessary Navigation Maps to improve Speed
Posted by: Advancedas - 07-22-2024, 10:21 AM - Forum: OrBit Q&A - Ask your questions here! - Replies (3)

Hi,

I installed multiple maps from the regions in Europe i will never go to. And now I noticed that navigation takes longer to boot/is slower.

Is it possible to delete these maps that I don’ t need?

Also a side question, is it possible to delete bluetooth connection device history? My friend connected his phone to play some music and now I see his device name everytime I try to connect my phone.

Question Retrofit mirror position sensors?
Posted by: Pliind - 07-20-2024, 03:07 PM - Forum: Retrofitting - Replies (7)

Hi!

After i retrofitted to fully electrical memory seats i got a mirror feature that is included with this even though the mirror memory option is disabled in orbit.

I get error for vertical and horizontal position sensors on right and left mirror, and rightfully so as my mirrors are missing the pins for this. (I have retrofitted keyless so my door harnesses have the pins for this feature)

Question i have is as its expensive with complete new mirrors and all i need is another motor? Is this something one can retrofit? Any info at all helps Smile

(Latest version of OrBit can always be downloaded here: https://app.spaycetech.com/orbitupdate/download) The "update notification" in OrBit will be sent later, but you can download the updated install right away from the link.

New features/fixes:

  • Detection and WARNING for all pre-3.1.9 AAOS 3.x upgraded cars, recommend NOT to flash - Fixed the detection logic of "old 3.x" version detecting 3.1.10 updated car as an old version 3.x AAOS. Now detected properly as post 3.1.9 version system.

Sad TCAM Configuration
Posted by: Gremezov - 07-19-2024, 11:39 AM - Forum: OrBit Q&A - Ask your questions here! - No Replies

Can TCAM be configured to accept signal in the different country other than country car was produced for?
I have soldered the new SIM card instead of the eSIM inside the module, have received few OTA updates, but Infotainment still shows that no network is available (Polestar 2). Dodgy

  OrBit Beta v0.9.94 release notes
Posted by: Power6 - 07-14-2024, 04:37 PM - Forum: Releases - No Replies

0.9.94 is released. This is probably the final patch release to deal with the buggy 3.x version AAOS... The bottom line is, the chance of losing the screen by flashing a config can't be avoided. There is a risk every time you flash any 3.x system car, unless it is upgraded to 3.1.9 where the issue is resolved. I've decided to take the same recommendation that Volvo has for dealers: don't flash any software (i.e. write a config or restore to OEM) to the early 3.x system car, until it is upgraded to 3.1.9 system first.

(Latest version of OrBit can always be downloaded here: https://app.spaycetech.com/orbitupdate/download) The "update notification" in OrBit will be sent later, but you can download the updated install right away from the link.

New features/fixes:

  • Detection and WARNING for all pre-3.1.9 AAOS 3.x upgraded cars, recommend NOT to flash - If your car is on one of the buggy early 3.x AAOS versions, OrBit will warn you and reccomend not flashing the car when you go to write config to restore to OEM. If you are restoring to OEM, the reccomendation in this case, is to update the car (OTA or dealer) to 3.1.9 without restore to OEM. The risk of losing the infotainment screen and needing the fix, is not worth the OEM restore in this case, best to follow Volvo/Polestar recommendation, upgrade the system to 3.1.9.
  • You CAN still flash the car, if you really want to. I can't imagine a scenario where it is so critical and worth the risk, but I can't rule it out either. If this is your case, before you do it, you can contact me at support email for some further discussion and advice.
