  371 External Sound - Polestar 2
Posted by: Whitestripper22 - 04-04-2024, 02:51 AM - Forum: Audio / Visual - Replies (3)

Building some knowledge, cataloging some unknown configs

371: exterior sound
02 front: Stock setting - space whirring in drive.
03 front and rear unit: exterior speaker malfunction error when put into drive. Auditory roaring white noise + space whirring while in drive.
When using 02, you can hear a tone difference for drive (whiring) vs reverese (roaring white noise), I think when using 03 it combines the two.

Hey all, wanted to share this here in case it helps anyone. TrevorC on the polestar forum is working on reverse engineering and documenting the various sections of the vehicle architecture. Really great stuff and hope it helps others (or others could contribute).

  Key Programming: Key not Detected
Posted by: Lynik - 03-28-2024, 02:23 PM - Forum: Retrofitting - Replies (4)

Hey,

I was trying to configure a key I got on Ebay. But it says Status:Key not detected. When I hit add key, it goes through the motion and says CEM: Key not detected.

The key is in the cubby under the screen, I am trying to program a polestar 2 key on a 2022 Polestar DRM.

I replaced the battery with a brand new one, I was curious if I had to do anything to the key to make it findable or anything like that.

  Right order of connecting
Posted by: spacey - 03-27-2024, 07:37 PM - Forum: Car Connectivity - Replies (2)

I'm using Orbit with the Amazon VOE adapter on a Intel-Macbook running Windows 10. The VOE cable is connected to the Macbook using the Apple Thunderbolt Ethernet adapter.

Now I haven't been able to figure out the right sequence to get Orbit working from the start. It always takes me a couple of tries to connect / disconnect the VOE to the ODB port, restart the computer or unplugging the cable until Orbit (and Vdash) are able to make a connection.

If someone has winning sequence like turn on car, connect first to computer, start Orbit, then connect ODB etc i'd be really thankful.

Retrofit the new gear stick and oem wireless charging on older SPA
Posted by: 83Greven - 03-27-2024, 02:02 AM - Forum: Retrofitting - Replies (1)

Just out of curiosity I wonder if anyone have tried to upgrade the gear stick from the old big stick to let's say the newer smaller version "orrefors"?

Can the oem wireless charger be added? Now I'm running the aliexpress version and it's ugly and not that sufficient in terms of charging.

If possible, what would be necessary to change in terms of hardware and software in OrBit?

XC40 Recharge (fully electric) US to EU charge
Posted by: R1maS - 03-26-2024, 01:58 PM - Forum: Retrofitting - Replies (6)

Hi all

the car - XC40 Recharge (fully electric) 2021, converted from US to EU. The problem is that now it does not charge on public chargers at all. Changing cable replaced from US-type to EU-type, what to change in config to be able to charge on public chargers?

029. changed from 02-type 1 to 06-type 2 and parameter with variant code 8X (CHARGE CORD)- from 1B (Cord, Plug NEMA 5/14, Type 1, Mode 2, HighPwr, 1P-12A/40A) to 17 - does not help Sad
