I have read almost all thread of seat retrofit, but unfurtunatly I ran into the wall. Short background:
I wanted to swap on 17 XC90 US version car with Momentum seats (Front Driver/Passenger heated) to Inscription (Heated + Ventilation + Side support + Massage).
Front seats:
What I did:
1. Wired positive wire from fuse box (#40) to each seat connector 15PIN.
2. Switched wire between seats on PSMD and PSMP wired 21PIN ground (Inscription seats were taken from right hand car);
3 Made configuration on Orbit:
179 Front seat ventilation > Enabled driver and passenger
180 Heated front seats > Enabled (It was already set up)
239 Massage front seat > Enabled
240 Lumbar support > 4 ways
241 Cushion Extension > Enabled Driver and passenger
243 Power Adjustable side support > Enabled driver and passenger
462 Heating Mat variants > Enabled cushion and backrest
244 Remote passenger seat control > Enabled
Additionally:
127 Seat Track sensor > Disabled. (Momentum seats (left/Right) had sensors; Inscription - no sensors on seats).
4. After programing made ECU reset. Closed and locked car for 5-10 minutes.
After doing this, I ran DTC and here I had faults:
PSMD:
U2300 - Central configuration - System programming failures - Invalid/ incompatible configuration;
SRS:
B00115 - Driver seat track position restraints sensor - general electrical failures - circuit opened.
B00125 - Passenger seat track position restraints sensor - general electrical failures - circuit opened.
Additionally, then I am moving seats via buttons on IHU I see different view between Driver and Passenger seat of possible functions (Added photo). Driver seats looks good, 4 features can be done (massage, Lumbar, side support, Cushion Extension). But on Passenger seat IHU shows only 3 options (Massage function, Lumbar support, Side support), missing Cushion extension option. However, if I go with button on seat down (thinking its same way control as driver seat), I can move on passenger seat cushion extension, but on IHU nothing is showing.
My concerns:
1. How to Deactivate driver/Passenger seat track sensors?
2. What configurations are made incorrect, that PSMD shows configuration fault?
3. What configurations should be made, that IHU will be showed cushion extension feature on passenger seat?
I've been looking at the FAQs and how-to's and honestly I'm finding it very tough to follow. I simply want a step by step guide to how to pick, setup, and use this software for my purposes. I don't know this PIN stuff, CEM this or that.
I just need to know what comes with the software purposes (the cables, connectors? what exactly), how and where to connect to the car, how to activate the software, etc. I have a 21 LE Polestar 2 Performance and want to do the following things:
Activate my Pixel lights
Activate Curve Assist
Activate the "Performance Power" upgrade if that is possible.

i made a dealer visit earlier this week and reverted to OEM. after reloading my settings for active high beams i'm getting a highbeam malfunction message with a graphic of circles around the headlights. wondering if the settings have changed in Orbit and i need to just start over or just clear the DTC's if any. the lights seem to be functioning as intended.
Do DTC's get cleared when reverting to OEM settings? I recently made a dealer visit and asked them to trouble shoot an issue with the support battery and they told me no DTC's were showing so they couldn't diagnose if there is an issue.
Has anyone attempted to retrofit Volvo On Call? I'm wondering if there's any Volvo side that would block remote controls given it runs through their servers.
I bought a used V90 which was registered with the DVLA (UK) as an Inscription Pro, however it is in fact a normal Inscription. Looking around to see how much I can retrofit and not seen anyone attempt or even mention VOC.
On the seats!
Volvo v60 2021, there were regular seats in the base, mechanical + electric lift and electric lumbar cushion!
Bought R design seats fully electric + retractable leg support and side supports!
Installed, ran the wiring to can H and Can L, as a result, the passenger one worked immediately, even without connecting to Orbit
The driver's does not work!
Connected orbit, carried out all the procedures, turned everything on, the result: the passenger one works everything except the side support!
The driver's does not work, but when you press the button, the relay clicks in the area of the buttons!
The most interesting thing is that the passenger seat, if you pull the additional functions lever, it says that the driver's seat is adjusted! If you pull the same lever on the driver's seat, then the inscription "passenger seat adjustment" appears, but they are not adjusted in any way!
I thought that the seats were taken from an English right-hand drive car (although according to the wiring, pin 31 was on the passenger seat, as it should have been with the left-hand drive! I thought about it and decided to swap the seat control units! I did it! The effect is the same! The driver's does not work and only calling the additional button writes on the screen "adjustment of the passenger seat"
The passenger works completely except for the lateral support and says that it is the driver's!
Maybe someone has encountered this?
Hi, I have a P31489606 (VCM 3G - V90 Inscription Pro D5 (Dec 2016) and in a lazy panic, I lifted the battery pcb connector off the PCB/PWB.
Its a standard SMD connector and i managed to lift all the pads off with it, great and i went into the usual cold sweat.
Okay, i know I'm stupid, but I was under pressure, another story.
I can fix it myself, as have had years of repairing boards including multilayer boards.
But i can only trace 3 of the 4 pins. There are a few PTH nearby but no sign of where the pad was connected.
Can anyone help? Just the pinouts or ideally a circuit diagram of the 8v backup battery connections for the VCM 3G. Just using it with a temp fix to keep driving.
Also,
Can anyone advise how i can reset the unit for a new battery??
I only want to make one change th my car which is adding ACC. I understand that it is advised to restore the OEM configuration before bringing the car to a Volvo dealership for service. As the OrBit license is on an annual basis this basically means that I will have to to continuously renew and pay for an OrBit license for as long as I will keep the car or else I will stop being able to go back to OEM configuration. Is that correct?
