  TBS & DIAG CHART
Posted by: Rondeau Performance - 01-24-2026, 10:35 PM - Forum: Service Functions - Replies (1)

Hello, can anyone tell me if a third-party website like Mitchell and Alldata can provide diagnostic charts? They aren't on the websites mentioned, and I don't want to pay 4k to repair the car.

Question Official dealerships and removing the Speed Limit
Posted by: CascadeVortex47 - 01-23-2026, 02:42 PM - Forum: Speed Limit - Replies (5)

Hi all,
I am wondering what are the common practices of official Volvo dealerships when taking the car in for service?
I've read a lot of contradicting info online, with some stating it's no problem whatsoever, that a technician really has to dig into the configuration of the car to find the governor speed has been changed, while others stating that it's an instant void of all warranties and denial of any service. Both sides sound a bit apsurd honestly, so I am looking for anyone with concrete experiences with this and a definitive answer.

Secondly, if you really need to reset the configuration to OEM every time before a service, it's not really "You could drive a new Volvo for $50,000. For $100, you can own it.", because if you plan to keep your Volvo for more than a year, you need to pay the $100 PER YEAR*. I have not yet purchased OrBit, so is there some way to switch between OEM and your desired configuration even after the subscription ends?

  Problems with Volvo service?
Posted by: Alle - 01-22-2026, 07:46 PM - Forum: OrBit Q&A - Ask your questions here! - Replies (1)

Hi guys, I have a question: I changed my software configuration on my Volvo XC60 b4, but I didn’t installed any additional S modules or other hardware, only software activation.
May I have problems if I had to do the annual Volvo service?
Thank you

Question Does setting the 050 CHASSIE TYPE to 05 Police improves responsivness?
Posted by: hexaust - 01-22-2026, 08:02 AM - Forum: Chassis - Replies (2)

I just set the 050 CHASSIE TYPE to 05 Police to test the ERS by key (it works on my XC40 MY2019) and the car feels that it has improved responsiveness, acceleration, handling. Is this all in my head or does it really change how the car behaves?  Huh

Thanks!

Question New member- a few questions
Posted by: NJTURBO - 01-19-2026, 05:55 PM - Forum: OrBit Q&A - Ask your questions here! - Replies (2)

Hi-  I just got a 2019 XC90 Momentum T6 ( I also have a 1983 242 GLT- I like Volvos !!). My T6 only came with one key fob which led me here. I haven't purchased the program yet but intend to do so as I think it's a much better deal than a 3 day VIDA license and from what it seems much more user friendly. My first question is I am mostly a Mac user but am familiar with Windows from work. If I download the program onto my Macbook Pro and OrBit doesn't run right or connect to my car using virtual Windows in the MBP, can I then load the program onto a Windows laptop that I can borrow? I guess the question is can the OrBit program be loaded onto more than one machine using the same license for the same car? My next question is opinions on key fobs. Any thoughts on new non-genuine fobs available online (Amazon, Ebay) vs used genuine Volvo fobs (mostly Ebay)?
I'm looking forward to using the program as I like to do basic maintenance on my cars myself. Thanks !

Question New User - Random Config. Questions
Posted by: RHDRICK - 01-16-2026, 05:35 PM - Forum: OrBit Q&A - Ask your questions here! - Replies (3)

Hi all!

I am new to the Orbit game and have already made some changes which I'm loving. I do have a few questions I hope I can find answers to as a search hasn't really helped. Sorry if this is lengthy...

- I installed 374 (Polestar Level 2) and see the change in my driver display but is there supposed to be a different theme for the SPA cars? If not, is there the ability to get a different theme? I added 168 (screen themes > polestar) but there was no change.

- Is there any option to have the front foglights turn on automatically with the headlights as opposed to hitting the switch each time?

- I have a Canadian car with bending headlights, are active high beams something I could be playing with and what option would I choose?

- What changes would 358 (active noise control) make to the car?

- Is there an option for comfort access? Seat moving back while entering\exiting the car?

Any help would be very much appreciated ?

Epb locked on / not retracting. Help with troubleshooting?
Posted by: Dougray - 01-15-2026, 09:26 AM - Forum: Misc - Replies (3)

Hoping someone can offer advice - XC60 T5 r design pro 2017/18 model
Issue: electric parking brake has stuck on after parking.
One day prior, the auto hold and epb service required warnings flashed on the dash, orange, while driving home, but the epb and auto hold still worked.
Next morning they didn't come on until about 10 mins into the drive. Again epb and auto hold still worked.
When leaving work the red epb not fully retracted warning came on and flashed with the accompanying ping. The brakes were not locked on at this point so I continued until I could stop and check which side, if either was dragging. Neither disc seemed unusually warm, suggesting the brake has retracted sufficiently. However when I started the car and tried to pull away, the brakes had locked on and would not retract despite pumping the brake pedal, manually attempting to activate the handbrake, watching the car on and off several times etc.
Both calipers seem to be locked on ( I think), not just one. So I doubt it is the actuator, or could a single faulty epb actuator cause the issue?
Guessing it's most likely a problem with the epb module (is there is a specific module for this? If so can anyone id it), a software problem (does anyone know if any software issues I might resolve with orbit?) or a wiring issue (what codes would you expect got this?), unless the loom for each side is separate independent (in which case prob not, if both are locked)?
Assuming I can manually remove the epb actuators and wind the calipers back, what tools are required to remove the actuator and manually wind the piston back? Then at least I can drive it home or to a garage.
Can't think of anything obvious, other than I hit a fairly deep bit of flooded road faster than I would have liked a day prior to the initial warning. The brakes pads are also probably at the point of needing replacement, so had wondered if this could cause the pistons to overextend creating a fault?
Could it be a low voltage issue, I assumed that with the car running, the alternator would supply enough voltage so this wouldn't cause a problem?
Thanks in advance for any advice that would aid in my understanding of how to troubleshoot/resolve the issue. I'm pretty stuck without the car as live very rurally.

Did anyone test Orbit on Lynk & Co 08 European Model? I'd love to start playing around and enable some of the not available features such as Dashcam (Journey Cam).

Hello all,
I was running into my rom going from 1k up to 1500-2000k and drops. Pulled the codes and got the results below. I recently replaced the PCV valve /oil trap with new hoses. The issue still persists. Can anyone direct me in the right direction to figure out how to get this issue fixed.
