  Wireless Charger install on 2017
Posted by: Nazsky786 - 07-28-2025, 12:26 PM - Forum: Retrofitting - Replies (43)

Hi,

Ive installed a wireless charger centre console from a 2023, ive used my old loom or else the car wont start and taken the 3 wires from the 2023 loom for the charger but the place where the wires go on the original loom are already populated.

Where do the 3 wires go as this car isn't supported to have the volvo charger. And on orbit what options do I need to change?

I have red, black and white. I'm guessing the red and black are power and ground but white is control but where do I install that?

Thanks.

Also what option do I choose on orbit? There is with on off button but is nfc used?

  XC40 Retrofitted Subwoofer vibration
Posted by: Zoomug - 07-26-2025, 07:21 PM - Forum: Audio / Visual - Replies (1)

Hi, I have a 2019 XC40 and I have retrofitted the OEM subwoofer into the rear n/s behind the trim.

What I was wondering if there is any sort of rubber mount/insert between the mounting bolts and the car body

so that It doesn't vibrate the rear of the car like its doing now.

Sounds noisy outside, vibrating the rear light cluster etc.

Thanks

Dave

Flashing S90 2018 for Carplay - Timeout errors
Posted by: Cheeze439 - 07-24-2025, 08:12 PM - Forum: OrBit Q&A - Ask your questions here! - Replies (4)

Hi

I'm new, got my pin and my cable today, followed a video guide on activating Carplay on my Sensus system... all starts well but it fails when writing the changes:

OrBit Connected
Generated new config data
Starting Config flash process
Check Active OK
Checking Critical ECUs are awake
Start programming mode routine
Checking mode and status for programming
Checking ECUs are ready...
Requesting programming mode
Waiting to reconnect...
Timeout after 17 sec for gateway to return, failing program routine
Recovering from failure, wait for programming mode timeout and reconnect...

Waiting for CEM to be ready...
CEM is connected, proceeding
Reading Car Info
ECU flash FAILED!
Error Reason: Gateway (VCM/TCAM) connection did not return in time from prog mode boot request!
OrBit Connected

Any ideas?

I have tried all the troubleshooting steps also.

Central Configuration- System Programming Failures- Invalid / incompatible configurat
Posted by: Nicolicius - 07-21-2025, 08:59 AM - Forum: OrBit Q&A - Ask your questions here! - Replies (1)

Hey everyone,

Since I wanted to track my configuration from the beginning, I started fresh today.
I performed an OEM restore, which worked without any issues.

After that, I installed several configurations using Orbit, and everything seemed fine at first.
However, after reading all the DTCs, I encountered an error:

IHU-U230056 – 2025/07/21 10:50:40
Central Configuration – System Programming Failures – Invalid/incompatible configuration

  • Test failed
  • Test failed during this monitoring/operational cycle
  • Pending DTC
  • Confirmed DTC
  • Test failed since last clear

Below is a list of the changes I made:

.xlsx   Orbit_Config_History.xlsx (Size: 5.81 KB / Downloads: 7)

Can someone help to find the problem?

  Orbit Config Tracker
Posted by: Nicolicius - 07-20-2025, 06:33 PM - Forum: Misc - Replies (15)

Just built a small but super useful tool for Orbit:
The Orbit Config Tracker.
It helps you keep track of your configuration history – and compare changes instantly.

With the Config Tracker you can:

  • View the full history of your Orbit .orb-files
  • Compare the last two config files side by side
  • Get all differences in a clean Excel export
  • Spot changes instantly – no more guessing

What you need to do:
  • Save your config every time you connect with Orbit
  • Store it in a specific folder
  • Use the filename format:
    "dd.mm.yyyy_hh.mm.orb"

Two modes:
Direct Comparison Mode
  • Compares the two most recent .orb-files
  • Opens a new window with all differences
  • Creates an Excel file with the changes
History Mode
  • Scans all .orb-files
    files in the folder
  • Ignores already indexed configs
  • Adds only new ones to the log
  • Opens a summary window + generates an Excel (auto-overwrites)

I originally built this tool for myself, but I'm happy to share it with anyone who finds it useful.
If you run into any issues, I'd really appreciate your feedback.
I'm also always open to suggestions for improvement!
