Hello
I have a photochromatic rear-view mirror. I bought a mirror with Homelink but it doesn't work. The plug is the same with 3 wires. Automatic dimming works but Homelink only works for a moment and then there is no icon in the mirror. Do I need to code Homelink via Orbit?
After connecting the plug and the car in Active mode, the mirror works. As soon as the car is started, it no longer works. When I disconnect the connector again and reconnect it, it works until the next time I start the car.

2018 XC60 Keyfobs Programming |

Its been a fun day! Both of my keyfobs stopped working and I havent been able to get them to work despite reprogramming them
The 2018 MY is hit or miss with CEM pins working with OrBit. Mine, of course, did not work. I spent a few hours with VIDA and a few $100 as well. What I found is by using wireshark and the VIDA software package KEYLESS VEHICLE KE item# 31419581 I was able to get the security pin. OrBit was able to decode the wireshark transcript and recover the pin.
I can now program keys. But I am unable to use remote locking/unlocking. I have no idea why.
Very frustrating day.

Hi there,
New here so also newbie question...
V60 MY 2024 W-Europe.
Engine and automatic gearbox are compatible with both variants B3 and B4.
Is it possible to use Orbit to alter the engine type from B3 163/265 to B4 190/300 by just loading the config settings in the exact mode for these types? The engine built and all modules seem to be identical in hardware but is this also tha case for software?
Would it be possible to change setting in the list, "item 5 engine" from *VEP4 MP 2.0L 163/265* to *VEP4 MP 2.0L 190/300* and then run in the B4 mode? Or is there altered software loaded in modules that do not match?

I have read the whole forum but there is so much different info that i like to have some GOOD feedback.
Since a few weeks I have changed some setting to my V90CC 2018 D4
Changed items are; - Bending high beam instead of bending low beam only
- High beam to small village
- Auto pilot to level 2 instead of level 1
- Curve speed assistance
- Start Stop with memory instead of normal start stop
- Polestar optimalisation
In two weeks from now I need togo to the Volvo dealer for my On Call battery (end of life problem) so they are going to connect my car to Vida.
Do I need to put my car into OEM mode before I go there or is this not necessary because I don't have any hardware module changes?
When I connected the car for the first time to OrBit, I did not make a default/OEM backup. So I think I need to undo the changes by hand.
Looking forward some feedback
Michael

Engine running when programming? |

Maybe a newbie question, but should the car/engine actually be running when connecting to the OBDII and, for example, programming keys?
The car was detected but then I had a 'gateway' issue (which is firewall, I think, so I'll fix that) but I wondered whether I can simply be in 'Ignition is On' state or full-on engine is running.
Does it matter?

Got Orbit a little while back. Turned on pixel headlights, a few other tweaks, worked great, zero connection/config issues, didn't change any firewall settings/etc. on the laptop. Had to take it into Polestar for non-functioning seat heaters. Before going in, connected, returned to stock. Got car back from Polestar after a friggin' month. Hooked up the laptop to restore my changes in Orbit. It won't connect no matter what I do. Same laptop, same Orbit install, same cable, same adapter, same same same.
2022 Polestar 2, software P3.1.9.
Windows 11 home
USB ethernet adapter
Amazon ODB2 connector
Tried: - Changing order of plugging in USB adapter, OBD2 connector, and starting Orbit
- Door open and shut
- Car plugged in and not plugged in
- Car in drive and car in park
- Windows Firewall on and off (for Domain, Private, and Public networks)
- adding custom rule to outbound connections for the OrbitApp.exe
Orbit output:
OrBit v1.0.9
OrBit Disconnected

Do I need to purchase an Icarsoft Volvo 3.0 diagnostic tool if purchasing the Orbit software? In other words, do they work together, are they competitors or do they both provide the same functionality? I'm still a little confused about it.
