Can s90 seats be fitted to S60
Posted by: IMAY2023 - 02-09-2024, 06:25 AM - Forum: Retrofitting - Replies (121)

Has anyone tried to fit 2019 S90 seats to 2019 S60 ?
I looked through the seat assembly parts and it looks like all parts are the same for many models but before I buy set of used seats, I just wanted to know if some one ever tried it.
In general I am looking for R-Design or Inscription seats for my S60 but all I find is 90 series.

  Old Orrefors to new
Posted by: Davidoso - 02-08-2024, 06:03 PM - Forum: Retrofitting - Replies (10)

So today I decided to disassemble my entire centre console to try and swap my "old" Orrefors shifter to the new one. Unfortunately, even after coding it in, it didn't work. The lights on the shifter didn't turn on and I was unable to put it into gear. No error codes though, so I'm guessing it's the cables fault.. Tried to swap the insides, but they are too different. Might work if I re-pin, but unfortunately I have no idea where to start. Needless to say, it was with tears in my eyes I re-assembled everything, without actually swapping anything... Cry

  LED reverse light
Posted by: Duffy - 02-07-2024, 05:04 PM - Forum: Retrofitting - Replies (5)

Hello everyone,

for those who don't like the halogen reverse light, I converted to LED. You can convert it without having to install a resistor so as not to get an error.

I have changed
259 REVERSING LAMP TYPE
from 01 Bulb Double sided
to 02 LED Double sided

It looks significantly better and a little bit better in the rear camera.

Retrofit Subwoofer on High Performance w/o Subwoofer
Posted by: Duffy - 02-06-2024, 08:08 PM - Forum: Retrofitting - Replies (58)

Hi at all,

I’ve got a V90 MY 2019 with high performance audio but without Subwoofer. Do you know if the amplifier is the same as in high performance with Subwoofer? Just add the Cable and subwoofer?

Thank you

  2024 V60 B5 disable stop/stop
Posted by: Ryin414 - 01-30-2024, 06:44 PM - Forum: OrBit Q&A - Ask your questions here! - Replies (2)

Hello,

Is it possible to disable the start stop on 2024 B series motors? I don't even see a button to temporarily disable it for the one trip.

Also, is it possible to lock the car from the outside when the car is running. I used to on my old car, but not this one. As a work around I can roll down the window, stick the key in the car, lock the doors, and roll the window up, but I would prefer just to change a setting using orbit.

Thanks!

Interior Lights Brightness link to Screen Brightness
Posted by: axelemils - 01-29-2024, 03:56 PM - Forum: Lights - Replies (2)

Volvo V90 Cross Country D5 Inscription MY2018

I have a problem that I want to ask if anyone might have a solution to. This is mainly a problem during night time driving.

I always want the screens to be at the lowest brightness which is why I set the thumb wheel (left to the steering wheel) to always be at its lowest setting. Unfortunately this thumb wheel is also connected to the interior trim/decor lights. When the thumb wheel is maxed out the entire cabin becomes so much cosier compared to everything being blacked out. So because I want to drive with the screen brightness at its lowest I basically never get to enjoy the decor lighting that I paid extra for.

Now is there anyone who can think of any solution to this? I have been thinking of poping out the thumb wheel unit to see if I can maybe detach a possible wire that goes to the screen brightness but from what I have checked in forums and with my Volvo workshop its software based, thus me turning to this forum.

I have attached two photos showing the screen and decor lighting with the thumb wheel being at its lowest and highest setting.
Any tips or recommendations will be very much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Question: Emergency Brake Lights - P2
Posted by: Starno - 01-29-2024, 02:58 PM - Forum: Lights - Replies (2)

Hello,

I've seen a few EU cars in the area where they have the blinking brake lights during hard braking. Pretty convincing. This is a safety measure that we again, in NA don't have.

I plan to try to play with the parameter 114 to see if it works on my P2 but confirming will be a challenge...

Can a few guys from EU post their settings for 114-Emergency Brake Light.
Mine is on 03-Emergency Brake Light (EBL) - Extended Area for now.

Thanks!
