Need Advice on Controlling Coolant By-Pass Valve in Cold Conditions |

Greetings from Finland. When the weather is nice, it's usually cold as Perkele.
I'm facing a challenging situation with my vehicle in our extreme winter conditions. Today, the temperature dropped to a freezing -35°C (31°F). As you might be aware, the new Euro 6 emission standards restrict the use of petrol/diesel heaters for engine heating. Consequently, while the cabin gets warm, the engine does not receive adequate heat.
My vehicle uses a coolant by-pass valve (part number 31461924) to control circulation. A mechanical workaround I've considered is removing this valve and replacing it with a Y-connector, leaving the original valve plugged in the engine bay. However, I'm curious if there's a more sophisticated solution.
Is there a way to control the behaviour of this bypass valve through the vehicle's Orbit system? This control is crucial for maintaining engine health in such cold conditions. Any advice or insights from fellow members who have navigated similar issues would be greatly appreciated.

Reading DTC error codes |

Hi everyone,
recently got Orbit to read out DTCs on the V90 CC (MY 22, 35.000 miles) I purchased two months ago:
CEM:
U1341 - Overhead Console (OHC)- Component Failures- Component internal failure
B1507 - Passenger Airbag Lamps Status- - General electrical failure
B1505 - Heating Steering Wheel- General Electrical Failures- Circuit short to battery or open
SRS:
B00135 - Restraint System Passenger Disable Indicator- Algorithm Based Failures- Event information
Reading DTCs with Vdash shows the same DTCs above and five other ones105E. For reference the previous owner had an issue with the fuse box on the battery which was replaced and the car was at regular service two weeks ago with no issues. The steering wheel heating seems to run fine despite the two error codes (B150515, B150511).
I don't have experience with DTCs so was wondering what do. Should I take the car to the dealer again to have the codes investigated and / or cleared?

I drive a XC60 T8 Long Range (2022 onwards model).
It is produced in 2022, but its the "early 2023" model range.
Since this range, Volvo stupidly decided to remove the drive selector.
Is it possoble to retrofit the drive selector that is used in the PRE 2022 models?
Is it just a replacement of the mid console panel? Or do you have to wire it?
Is there any coding needed to let it work?

V60 Dual-Zone to Tri-Zone Climate Control: Adding Rear Seat Air Vents? |

Hi,
I'm planning to convert my car to drift wood trims and have managed to acquire a full center console that includes a touch panel for rear seat heating and air vents. My car didn't originally have air vents for the back seats. Is it possible to retrofit this new console into my car to add these features? Any advice or tips on how to proceed with this conversion would be greatly appreciated.
I recall watching a video a while back where somebody implemented a similar touch panel in their car without any air ducting and sensors. The heated seats worked, but he encountered system errors due to missing air conditioning sensors? and other components. This has me wondering about the technical challenges and potential error messages I might face during my own upgrade process.
Thanks in advance!
