I have a problem that I want to ask if anyone might have a solution to. This is mainly a problem during night time driving.
I always want the screens to be at the lowest brightness which is why I set the thumb wheel (left to the steering wheel) to always be at its lowest setting. Unfortunately this thumb wheel is also connected to the interior trim/decor lights. When the thumb wheel is maxed out the entire cabin becomes so much cosier compared to everything being blacked out. So because I want to drive with the screen brightness at its lowest I basically never get to enjoy the decor lighting that I paid extra for.
Now is there anyone who can think of any solution to this? I have been thinking of poping out the thumb wheel unit to see if I can maybe detach a possible wire that goes to the screen brightness but from what I have checked in forums and with my Volvo workshop its software based, thus me turning to this forum.
I have attached two photos showing the screen and decor lighting with the thumb wheel being at its lowest and highest setting.
Any tips or recommendations will be very much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
I've seen a few EU cars in the area where they have the blinking brake lights during hard braking. Pretty convincing. This is a safety measure that we again, in NA don't have.
I plan to try to play with the parameter 114 to see if it works on my P2 but confirming will be a challenge...
Can a few guys from EU post their settings for 114-Emergency Brake Light.
Mine is on 03-Emergency Brake Light (EBL) - Extended Area for now.
Hello. I changed the wheels on my V60. I went from 225 50 17, to 235 45 18, both OE. Now I have the problem, namely, with the original configuration (17"), I have an error on Vida about "tire size" and last night it gave me an error that all the wheels are deflated. If I change the size and circumference with Orbit, it gives me an error on ASDM and BCM "incompatible programming" and it gives me an error on board City Safety and Pilot Assist. Do you have any ideas?
Just curious, is there any potential that orbit, or some kind of add on to it might be able to provide live data logging of data from sensors etc. for troubleshooting in the future.
hello, i have XC90 2016 from USA, i live in EU. Originally there were installed halogen lights with no auto adjustment. I received MID LED US lamps (31446535 31446534) i changed wiring according to diagram from xc90 LED lights. I programmed the following options: 106 headlight type - 07 LED without bending light, type A, Mid Range. 107 exterior light logic - 04 dedicated Day Running Light in pos Auto. 108 DRL-type - dedicated daytime running light (DDRL) on during day light. 109 - active high beam - 02 with AHB1 on/off low beam in village. After programming LED lights working, positioning lights works, low beam works, high beam works as well, on position auto, DRL works, but when there is dark outside its not automatically turning low beam lights. I have following errors like in picture. Ignore errors about rear end of the car there are both lights missing, will install them later. U1323 and U1322 errors i think is because there are no lamps level sensors in front and back of the car (originally with halogen lights these sensors was not installed by factory) Any idea why my Auto DRL function not working and why i have the rest of errors. As well what is the difference 07 -type A and 08- Type B options? Thanks for your help
So, long story short: I have a US Spec 2023 XC-40 (Android Automotive) in Turkey. Volvo says that I only have data service in the US for my car, so my car doesn't have a lot of the functionality I thought I would have unless I tether via bluetooth/wifi...
HOWEVER there is a SIM card slot next to the cabin lights and I assume that there is someway to activate this? Anyone have insights?
