  Pairing with Volvo Cars
Posted by: zdolnycool - 12-27-2024, 02:07 PM - Forum: OrBit Q&A - Ask your questions here! - No Replies

Hi, I am trying to pair the AAOS entertainment system with Volvo Cars. When pairing it searches for keys and returns an error that "all keys (3) are needed". I assume that the number 3 will see that there must be 3 keys. I have one original and one programmed by Orbit. Is there any way to make the system require the two keys I have, or do I need to buy 3 more and program them?

Edit:
just had to remove the keys and add 2 again and only required 2 to pair with the app

  Newbie Advice Please
Posted by: Ran60 - 12-27-2024, 10:51 AM - Forum: OrBit Q&A - Ask your questions here! - No Replies

I'm very desperately looking for a reason o take the plunge and buy the orbit software, but not sure what I am going to be able to gain.

Really need the forum expertise!

I have a V90 D5 2018 (Uk based), it's pretty well loaded and comes with the following:

Pilot assist
CTA
360 Camera
Heated front seats and steering wheel
BLIS
Android Auto / Car Play
Polestar Optimised
No matrix lights though Sad

One of the main reasons I wanted to try orbit was to activate the subwoofer output. Currently I'm tapping off the rear speaker feed and into a high / low converter => Amplifier => Factory sub ai retrofitted. Has anyone manage to activate the subwoofer output on the standard amp? Would be so much better to even have a dedicated feed for the subwoofer.

I have the 3 speakers each front door, single rear speaker in rear doors and 2 roof speakers as standard, so believe it's the HP amp?

Also, with the list of features the car already has, can anyone recommend settings that I could activate easily to see a benefit?

Thanks all!

  Coding Out Factory Air Suspension
Posted by: azndonx - 12-26-2024, 05:06 PM - Forum: OrBit Q&A - Ask your questions here! - Replies (9)

Hello everyone,

I have a 2018 Volvo V90 CC equipped with rear air suspension and adaptive shocks.

I would like to lower the car with a coilover setup, but was wondering if doing so will throw "Suspension Failure" fault codes?

I understand installing coilovers would remove the connection to the adaptive modules found on the shock bodies.

Is it possible to code out / reprogram "Suspension Failure" fault codes using OrBit?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Question Volvo V60 Outside Mirror Autodimming
Posted by: suprnowa - 12-26-2024, 04:21 PM - Forum: Retrofitting - Replies (6)

Hello
In my Volvo V60 2020 I have regular mirrors without dimming and without BLIS. I have an auto-dimming interior mirror. Is it enough to change only the mirror glasses or do I need to make a mirror harness?
If necessary, they will make a harness. Maybe someone has a diagram of which cables need to be made.

  Orbit failed to open.
Posted by: X.XZ - 12-26-2024, 12:39 AM - Forum: OrBit Q&A - Ask your questions here! - Replies (2)

I have successfully updated my V60 B4 2024 and I have pilot assist.
Two hours passed after that,Orbit failed to open.
I have reinstalled multiple times.
Every time I double-click to open, it prompts as follows:

Orbit is unable to start because it is already running.

  Replace SWM
Posted by: Apansson - 12-25-2024, 01:22 PM - Forum: Service Functions - Replies (3)

Since the steering wheel heater stopped working it seems like I have to replace the SWM.
Can I do necessary service functions using orbit or will I have to go to the dealer to program it as well?
The car is a XC40 2020.

  ECU PROFILE UPDATE FAILED!
Posted by: AnttiH31 - 12-22-2024, 12:20 PM - Forum: Car Connectivity - Replies (2)

I have a 2020 V60 T8.

Hardware wise I have a generic VOE/ENET cable and a Ethernet to usb-c adapter to connect it to a laptop.

When I open OrBit and log in, it first says that my car profile is outdated and prompts me to update it. After clicking yes, it reads the ECU’s and after that it says that ”ECU PROFILE UPDATE FAILED” and ”Error reason: Error updating car profile (picture attached). I also can’t reset the CEM through OrBit since the software can’t communicate with the car properly (picture attached).

I’ve emailed support who have been very helpful in trying to get it to work but to no avail.

What I’ve done so far:
Disconnected the 12V battery and waited 20min before reconnecting=no luck.
Removed the VCM module from the car and removed the VOC back up battery to fully de-power the VCM and reconnecting=no luck.

What is going on!?

  AAOS Update
Posted by: zdolnycool - 12-21-2024, 10:37 AM - Forum: OrBit Q&A - Ask your questions here! - Replies (4)

Hi, I have a car imported from the US to Europe. XC60 from 2022. From what I've read, you can only do AAOS updates if the car is connected to a mobile network via a card built into the car and can't do it via WiFi. Is there any way to update AAOS via Orbit?

Adaptive headlights problem on xc60 2019 ( not bending , full led )
Posted by: vlad.purece - 12-18-2024, 07:31 PM - Forum: Lights - Replies (13)

Attached below is a video of my high beam headlights on auto mode, why is it dimming down the low beam instead of being brighter on the side where there are no cars?
I have to mention that the car was factory with only auto on/off high beam, I added from orbit to be adaptive with high beam in small vilage
