Hello,

Anyone has experienced usb port glitches?Every time i start a car it is not working at cold weather. It depends how cold is outside. After a few minutes of driving usb stick or apple car play starts to play and all back to normal. I am wondering if this situation exists  only in my 2020 volvo s60.Can someone share own experience about this?

Battery power during Diagnostic and general programming
Posted by: VolvoXC6018 - 02-21-2024, 08:47 PM - Forum: OrBit Q&A - Ask your questions here! - Replies (6)

Hi I’m new here and planing to use OrBit on my Volvo XC60 T8 R Design Pro 2018. This may not be directly relevant, but I noticed even on Orbit tutorial it was mentioned you need to use battery charger when doing car diagnostic. Just wondering if CTEK MXS 5.0 12v 8 Step Smart Battery Charger will be sufficient enough with Output Voltage: 14.4v, 14.7v, 15.8v and
Charging Current: 5A. Would really appreciate your help. Thanks.

  Xc60 p* 2021 wheel config ?
Posted by: xc60P* - 02-21-2024, 03:39 PM - Forum: Chassis - No Replies

Do we know what the factory settings are for the xc60 polestar edition as to circumference for the 255/40/21 and the 265/35/22 OE ?

I'm guessing 7B for the 255/40/21 and 80 for the 265/35/22 ? No

  Pre-Purchase Questions...
Posted by: twiki - 02-21-2024, 03:00 PM - Forum: OrBit Q&A - Ask your questions here! - Replies (12)

I own a 2021 Polestar 2 with Pixel lights and want to turn ‘em on.

I have ordered the needed cable to connect a Windows laptop to my car, and am waiting until it arrives before paying for my Orbit license (the $325 version).

While I’m waiting for the cable to arrive (should be a few days), I have a few questions:

  1. Do I need to connect Orbit to my car (via cable) to have Orbit (the $325 license) get my needed PINs or can that be done by supplying my VIN separately?  If not, I guess I can pay for the license while waiting for my cable to arrive to save time…
  2. How long does it take to get the two PINs?  Should I start this now while I wait the 2 days for the cable to arrive?
  3. I understand the ability to Save and Load configurations, and also to restore to OEM before service visits and potentially before OTA updates to be safe.  But what about all of the settings made via the in-car options?  If I change settings in the car via the on-screen options, will those be reverted to defaults if I use Orbit to restore to OEM?   IOW, when I do a Save Configuration in Orbit, will it save those settings as well, or only if I use Orbit to make similar settings via Orbit?w days), I have a few questions.  BTW, I registered for the forums so I could post there, but apparently I’m not activated yet (email is confirmed though), so I figured I’d ask via em

  Excel list of Configuration Items
Posted by: BeachBoy - 02-18-2024, 03:59 PM - Forum: OrBit FAQs - Replies (8)

Attached is an Excel file with all the configuration items. It will be updated when new revisions are created.

Next step will be to add a Category column so we can group the different options. This is what I am thinking:

  • Core (Should not be changed)
  • Lighting
  • Audio & Video
  • Wheels
  • Driving Assistance
  • Safety
  • HVAC

Eventually we could match the Forum sections with these to make it easier on where to start threads.

For 001, we have now 7 values with proper description.

Help us find the missing ones, certainly we have XC60 and XC90 here, probably Polestar 1, soon EX90, etc.

  Battery Days in Service?
Posted by: EricSan - 02-12-2024, 07:38 PM - Forum: Service Functions - Replies (11)

I am just playing around with Orbit again as I have a service appt soon, so yesterday, I clicked the "Restore to OEM" button.

I'm expecting the dealer to tell me that I'll need a new battery for my 2019 S60 and I see that some functionality to report/reset battery service life has been added.  Way cool - now I can do the job myself.  So, today, I went back out to the car to see what the battery counter is before anything happens at the dealer and it tells me that "Current 12v Batt Days In Service: 1"

I'm confused, did "Restore to OEM" reset the battery counter as well?  Or did I do something wrong?

Thanks,
Eric
