I wanted to start an official thread specifically for the 2025.5 Volvo XC90 B6 with the redesigned infotainment screen.
The goal here is to create a shared space where we can post confirmed configuration changes that have worked through OrBit. If possible, please also include your build sheet or window sticker so others can compare hardware setups when trying similar changes.
I’ll start with mine but before I do, huge thank you to Andrew for all of his help and for creating this remarkable software!

Hello. Which package should I buy to use OrBit and what can I do with OrBit in the Volvo EX30?.
Thanks to Andrew I was able to get a program called "Parallels" working on my 2022 MacBook Air M2. It costs like 99 bucks to buy it and it runs Windows 11 great on the MacBook, or you can get a 14 day free trial, code your settings and cancel. They don't require a credit card. I attached a screenshot for those interested in what it would look like.
I just purchased the Orbit software and have both my license and passwords ready to access my 2025.5 XC90. The only thing I’m missing is access to a Windows laptop.
I tried using my wife’s work computer, but the WiFi doesn’t reach the driveway. I urgently need to disable the auto start stop feature because every time the car stops, the AC shuts off completely and in this heat, I’m genuinely concerned about the impact on my toddler’s health.
If anyone in Los Angeles or the San Fernando Valley has a Windows laptop and would be willing to help me out, I’ll gladly pay you for your time. Please comment below or send me a DM. Thanks in advance.
Hello. First time user and poster. I'm a new driver of a used XC60 2022 model with the Android Auto infotainment system. I purchased and used orbit for the first time to erase my missing 2nd keyfob and re-register the one in my possession so I could reset the system and register the app. It worked flawlessly. Now I'd like to dive into the other settings.
There's one thing I don't like much that I'm hoping can be changed.
1) When I backup, it shows the 360 camera view by default (I'm in Japan). I can switch it to rear-facing manually, but then the upper half of the screen is just black. I saw that in recent model software updates, they started showing both cameras? Is there anyway to use Orbit to add this to my 2022 XC60? If impossible, then I'd prefer the default to be the rear facing camera and not the 360.
2) When driving and coming to a stop at traffic lights or moving slow in a traffic jam, the 360 often comes on automatically when other cars or I'm near the side of the road, etc. I'll be completely stopped at a red light, it'll switch to 360, I'll back out of the camera and a few seconds later it switches to camera again! This is really annoying, especially when I've got videos going for my kiddos. I don't need an automatic switch to my camera when I'm in drive mode. And I certainly don't need it to switch back over and over even though I've backed out of it. Is there a setting I can disable to prevent this?
If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd be very appreciative. Thanks in advance!
Hi Folks,
First post here. I'm about to purchase an Orbit package but I'm totally lost as to what I need.
Like like to experiment with settings in general, but my main goal is to activate a drive mode switch that I've bought for my V90 Cross Country which came from the factory without one.
Hi everyone,
I have a 2021 Volvo XC60 B4 AWD with the following active features:
Lane Change Assist Level 2
ACC Version 4
ACC Level 3
Pilot Assist works well, and the car adapts speed in curves and maintains lane position nicely. However, I’m wondering if anyone has managed to enable automatic lane change when signaling, similar to what newer cars (like Teslas or BMWs) do.
Has anyone with similar setup managed to activate this? Is it even technically possible on SPA1 cars, or is this feature locked to newer SPA2-based models (like EX90)?
Any insight, experience, or guidance would be appreciated!
hi all,
The new UX (on 2026 models) has the same software build(s) as the older ones (like my 22.5 model). I was wondering if the layout, the new UX, is just a setting in the configuration? Something like setting 402 defining 9" or 11" display.
Don't think I would mind having the new UX already.
Hello, friends! I’d like to share a small discovery regarding my Volvo XC90 T5, 2019 model, imported from the USA. Everyone — including the official Volvo dealer — claims that the VOC (Volvo On Call) system does not work on US-spec cars, because they use different frequencies/standards. I installed the Volvo Cars app on my phone and connected the car — but none of the features worked:
• It only showed that the car was in the USA in 2023,
• Software version was 3.4.4,
• And a message appeared saying the VOC subscription needed to be renewed. I asked the dealer: If I pay for the subscription, will VOC be activated?
The answer was: No, it won’t work, because the car is from the US and the modem operates on different frequencies. But here’s what I did:
Yesterday, I changed the vehicle configuration parameter 191 TELEMATIC MODULE.
It was: 04 With Telematic module, USA/CND,
I changed it to: 0B With Telematic module, Russia LTE. I made these changes hoping to activate the built-in modem in the car (I previously wrote about it here: https://www.drive2.ru/l/707854591919656102/). And guess what?
In the evening, I received a notification from the Volvo Cars app: “Car unlocked”. I opened the app — and to my surprise, a lot more information appeared, which was not available before:
• Fuel level and estimated range,
• Door lock status (locked/unlocked),
• Driving statistics,
• Car location (though it still shows as if it’s in the USA). My question is:
Is this behavior normal and does it work like this for everyone?
Or is it actually possible to activate VOC on US-import cars if you configure everything correctly? Would it be worth paying for the subscription to unlock the full VOC functionality? I’d really appreciate any insights or experiences you can share!
