  Disable Full Lights with DRL
Posted by: LiveTrash - 02-09-2023, 01:57 AM - Forum: Lights - Replies (1)

Has anyone come across the option to disable the marker/parking lights around the vehicle from coming on with the DRL?

I get the idea behind Volvo forcing them on as a safety feature, but I'd rather just have my own full control over the lighting.

I'm wondering if they can be shut off independently of the DRL or if it's all or nothing (i.e. parking/marker are shut off as well as the DRL). I would prefer that only the front DRL stays on with the light switch set to "O"

UPDATE:

I don't think I was using the search function properly or maybe it wasn't working. I believe I've found what I am referring to here:

Central lock switches rear doors V60
Posted by: TweakeNL - 02-08-2023, 08:21 PM - Forum: Retrofitting - Replies (8)

My car did not have the switches in the rear door for the central lock.
You can add them easily as, at least with my car, they are pre wired. The connector was behind the door panel.

Add the switches and plug in the connector. Then change the following config bit:

086 Central Lock Switches: 03 Central Lock Switches in both front doors and switches in both rear doors.

Aaand it works  Angel

Drive Mode and Steering Personalization without Switch
Posted by: marinalin85 - 02-08-2023, 10:21 AM - Forum: Misc - Replies (41)

Hi guys

So, if you want Drive Modes without the switch just do the following

057 - 03 - With drive mode glass button switch in CSD

And for the steering feel personalization

016 - 02 - Electro Power Steering Personalization

Leave the IHU to rest for 5-10 minutes then "take it out of the oven" Wink)
Now you'll get the button in Sensus and the Individual Mode. Still good than nothing

  Drive Mode Selector
Posted by: apollodome - 02-07-2023, 10:59 PM - Forum: Retrofitting - Replies (12)

Looks like there are some values that may be related to the Drive Mode selector, what are the odds that anyone happens to know if I can retrofit a Drive Mode selector switch either in the center console where the wheel goes in pre-2022 models.

I'm hoping that it's pre-wired and I can just buy the switch and enable some settings with OrBit and get it working...

  Retrofit Volvo V60 B&W
Posted by: TweakeNL - 02-07-2023, 01:34 PM - Forum: Retrofitting - Replies (52)

Here is a small tutorial how to upgrade Volvo V60 High Performance Audio (NON Harman Kardon) to B&W.

Apparently this is a lot easier if you have Harman & Kardon as everything is prewired. Just swap the speakers, install the AMP and change configbits.

Just small notes:

  • All wiring in the doors are there, no need to add extra wires.
  • A total of 4 wires need to be added for the speakers in the headliner.
  • 2 wires need to be added to the subwoofer.
  • With my car, the center speaker was pre-wired. But not connected to the amp.

First of all you will need all the speakers and install them into the door panels. This is just a straight-forward job and plug and play.

I did install the roof speakers and subwoofer. Just added the cables to them. Fortunately the set that I got had the plugs and a small bit of wiring on it. So I could easily extend them to the front.

For the roof speakers you will need to create a hole, like this:

I've used a "compass cutter" for it. It created perfect holes in fabric. I suggest you take one of the expensive sharper ones. AS it will take a lot of efford if you are using the cheap ones.

I ordered two speakers grills: 31479160 and  31479161. These are for the beige headliner.

You will need to re-pin your speaker connector as follows.

Or if you are more like a picture person, like me:

Then I added the extra wiring to the center speaker. The cables go to the connector in front of the amplifier. (Just in front of the support beam.)

For now I've removed the two cables as I did not have the correct size pins. The correct part number you will need is: 30772666. You can push these in on the other side of the connector.

Now it is the time to install the B&W amp, just plug and play as well.
After this change the following config bits:

028 Radio, Amp and Speaker system: 03 Premium Sound
210 SUBWOOFER: 02 SUBWOF

  Home Safe Lighting
Posted by: marinalin85 - 02-07-2023, 09:56 AM - Forum: Lights - Replies (7)

Hi guys

Did anybody found a way to activate the Home Safe Lighting without pushing the stalk? Like turn off engine and lights remaining?
The feature is annoying, I barely got used to turn off Auto Start-Stop (now we don't need it anymore Big Grin) and I need to get used to this as well
I only had 5 minutes with the car today and disn't find any setting for that except 105 I have it at 01 - Without approach and home safe lighting but I do have the setting in Sensus. I wanted to try one of them but no time unfortunately. Also the configuration looks more like animation rather then function

https://ibb.co/X4qsV21

And, I know this might need a new thread but, I feel the steering input to be a little heavy than what my A3 had but I don't have Drive Mode switch to be able to change based on the mode. There is something at 016 - that I have set to 01 Without. Does anyboday have it at 02 and can switch between the inputs?

And @power6 we also need a mobile friendly interface for this forum Big Grin

  So many things in there!
Posted by: Sodertalje - 02-06-2023, 11:00 AM - Forum: Misc - Replies (14)

There are so many options in there. The ones I found interesting:

079 CAR SHARING FUNCTION
105 WELCOME & GOODBYE LIGHTS TYPE
149 ROAD SIGN INFORMATION (with or without speed adaptation?)
166 EXTENDED SPEED INDICATION (That will probably give you miles and km/h)
235 PHONE AS KEY (Can we use our phone instead of a car key?)
315 DRIVE AWAY INFORMATION (What is this doing?)
455 MIRACAST AND MIRRORLINK FUNCTION
484 LOGO LIGHT
504 TRAFFIC LIGHT ATTENTION

Has anyone tested these functions yet?

  [255] Double fog lights rear
Posted by: Sodertalje - 02-06-2023, 08:44 AM - Forum: Lights - Replies (5)

Would changing 255 REAR FOGLIGHT LAMP TYPE mean that you can configure double fog lights instead of left or right fog lights?
