Will I need to pay for OrBit over and over again?

I only want to make one change th my car which is adding ACC. I understand that it is advised to restore the OEM configuration before bringing the car to a Volvo dealership for service. As the OrBit license is on an annual basis this basically means that I will have to to continuously renew and pay for an OrBit license for as long as I will keep the car or else I will stop being able to go back to OEM configuration. Is that correct?

2023 Polestar 2 minor accident only 1 airbag deployed side curtain and the drivers seat belt.
Tried to clear and get the following.
Starting SRS Crash History Clear
ECU command FAILED!
Error Reason: Error clearing SRS History
OrBit Disconnected
Now I have not replaced the seat belt or the airbag but I should be able to clear the module.
Did a hard reset on the SRS and tried again same issue.
Any ideas I have seen post where others have cleared this no issue.

Pilot parking on Polestar 2

I looked over the Excel list of all config options. On the Polestar 2, has anyone tried changing 142 parking assistance to any version of automated assist? I understand there is a sensor suite on the Volvos which are necessary, and I think my 2024 performance has the necessary sensors.
I searched this forum and read numerous posts, but found nothing about pilot park assist on a Polestar.
As an aside, I see that an option for remote full-automatic parking appears to have been thought up by the engineers, perhaps for future development but that would be the pinnacle of parking assistance. I'm sure the plan is to use the lidar stack for that, and the phone app would likely need to be updated with that functionality. Very cool stuff coming down the pipeline I hope.

I am a little confused by the necessary OBD connection lead required for a 2024 S60 T8 Recharge which has the Android-based system.
I have been told that it is a relatively simple and commonly available lead, but I've also come across references to it being advertised as a "BMW" connection lead rather than specific to Volvo?
Can someone please clarify which I would require- USB or ethernet?

Tyre size and circumference to adjust speed

Hello.
This is a public service announcement to help others.
My goal was to adjust the display speed to Waze GPS, so that I wouldn't always have to do the mental arithmetic to drive +3 km/h over correct speed (smooth traffic flow).
1. Tyre size
Changed it successfully to 235/50R19
1. Circumference
Calculated would have been 2253 mm, but that was far off. Read below what SPAyceTech shared on the subject. In short, Volvo does it's own thing here.
After much trial and error up and down with values I landed on 2120 mm. Seems to be a good fit.
The following information on the subject is from SPAyceTech.
The tire size and circumference are separate items in config, but Volvo uses them together, within the limited options offered in VIDA (only factory option tires and sizes are covered).
When you run a "tire size" software in VIDA, it sets both the tires size and circumference values.
Tire size is used for steering stops. This allows the fitting of larger wheels/tires and resulting adjustment of the maximum steering angle so the tires do not rub on the wheel liners, suspension parts etc.
I do think the circumference config is what is used to correct for distance and speed calculations throughout the car, like the speed display on the dash, odometer distance etc.
There is no indication of the proper measurement of circumference. We don't know what Volvo is measuring and using as a value there.
The values Volvo uses for a tire circumference don't usually match an online calculator. An online calculator is only a very generic rough guide of approximate dimensions of an actual tire.
Hope it helps someone else as well.
Cheers,
R
