Unable to Calibrate thee 360 Camera with Orbit
Posted by: fomeir@gmail.com - 03-26-2025, 06:10 PM - Forum: Retrofitting - Replies (4)

Hi everyone,

I hope you’re all doing well!  I recently bought a used WAM from eBay and installed it along with four cameras in my 2020 XC90 PHEV. I set up configuration item 154 (Parking Camera) using option 6 for the Parking 360 Cam. The good news is that the 360 view is working, but it does need some calibration, as you can see in the photo below.

I’ve been trying to calibrate the 360 camera using the Orbit service for Park Camera Calibration, but the option appears grey and I can’t activate it. I've also tried reloading the car profile and disconnecting and reconnecting to the vehicle, but no luck so far. If anyone has encountered a similar issue or

has any tips to help me out, I would really appreciate it!

Thanks so much,

 Farhat

  WAM (Parking Control Module) Fried?
Posted by: tonypro99 - 03-26-2025, 03:15 AM - Forum: Misc - Replies (1)

Hi Everyone;

Recently had a issue with my 2016 XC90 as water got into the passenger footwell and found that the WAM (Parking Control Module) was corroded. I did clean up the board and the wires but it seems the Camera's aren't working and the City Safety message is coming up so was wondering if I need to get a new WAM (Parking Control Module) and what would I need to do? Can I just plug and play the new board or would I need to purchase Orbit in order to do so?

Much help would be appreciated thank you!

  FORCE UPGRADE
Posted by: Coone - 03-25-2025, 09:28 PM - Forum: Service Functions - Replies (1)

Hi,

Is there anyway to force an upgrade to the car, besides going to the dealer (they probably charge for this?)?

App says I'm on software 3.3.16 and that 3.4.4 is available from 10 February 2025 and should be available around 3 weeks after this over the air

If I check in the car he says I'm on the latest software with 3.3.16

  Polestar 2 Base Wiring Harness
Posted by: doubleohwhatever - 03-25-2025, 07:05 PM - Forum: Retrofitting - No Replies

Hi All,

I have a base model 2024 Polestar 2. I'm trying to figure out if wiring is present in the base harness for any of the following:

  • Interior/Exterior Air Quality Sensors
  • Trunk Foot Sensor
  • Fog Lights
  • Dashboard Trim Lighting
  • Center Console Trim Lighting

Has anyone poked around and seen anything pre-wired?

"Hold Steering Wheel" Warning - Adjust Sensitivity
Posted by: sege - 03-22-2025, 09:53 AM - Forum: Safety - Replies (6)

Hi there,

Happy Orbit user here. I drive a 2023 XC40 Recharge (single motor, low range, no ACC) and have used Orbit to enable ACC.

So far it's going well, but I do get a lot of "Hold Steering Wheel" Warnings, especially when cruising on the Autobahn. I am holding on to the steering wheel, but just not "hard" enough to satisfy the car.

Is there any chance to change the sensitivity for this maybe?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Has any tried or is it possible to upgrade the hybrid battery for a 2017 T8 to the larger 18.8 being the latest size?

I found some research saying it can be done battery is a straight swap, but the car will require a update to allow the car to start?

Thanks.

Seat Retrofit -- New Module is throwing codes
Posted by: dalbreez - 03-17-2025, 06:06 PM - Forum: Retrofitting - Replies (25)

Hi gang -- 2020 V60 owner here. In need of your help. I have spent the last few days reading about the concerns with retrofitting and throwing error codes on this forum.

I have the amber/tan interior seats but without the thigh extension. I found a donor vehicle with the exact same seats (non-Napa, non-ventilated or massage) with the lumbar support and thigh extension.

When I went to swap my seats with the shop, they took my old seats and gave me the new ones. Other than initially some error codes from the battery being unplugged and replugged, there was never any issues. Seats were plug and play, and I have been thoroughly enjoying them since installation.

I have taken the car for its warranty services, and the shop has said that they are unable to software update the vehicle because the current seat modules are not fitting with what is supposed to be associated with the VIN of the car. I was given an estimate to replace my current modules with the ones "for the car" (31419928) in addition to TRM remove, IMS remove, PSMR and PSMD reloads. $3000 total in costs -- and my concern being that my thigh extension chairs may not function with this module they intend to install.

EDIT: I checked the car, and the module part number for my two new seat modules is in fact 31652046.
I have a few questions:

1) Can I unplug the battery, replace my current modules with a pair of 31419928s that I can get from eBay, connect, and have it work? Or will this module for sure not work with the chairs, or perhaps even throw error codes with the chairs?
2) As a consequence, do I have to switch my seats back to the originals with the original modules in order to software update my car?
3) Could I get a pair of the 31419928s and plug them in, take them for a software update, update it, then switch it back?

I'm coming from VAG retrofitting where seat swaps were never an issue. Had I realized that I would brick my car from software updates I would have never proceeded with the retrofit. Feeling like a dunce. Of course, my worry is that if there are ever more complicated software concerns for the car, they won't be able to address them so long as I have this newer module installed.

Brick New battery registration and general diagnostics question
Posted by: mattjk - 03-17-2025, 01:27 PM - Forum: OrBit Q&A - Ask your questions here! - No Replies

Hello

Recieved my server PSU "power supply" and ENET cable today and will probably buy a subscription & PIN shortly. Just have a few questions.

I tried to run the software just to check it connects etc, seems this is not possible without an account correct? it does throw an error saying "unable to connect to orbit auth service" but i think this is probably an erroneous message .

Can you (or even do you need to) register a new main or aux battery with Orbit?

Do you retain diagnostic capabilities once your 1yr subscription expires?

Thank you
Matt

  Changing default ACC following distance
Posted by: tehNiemer - 03-14-2025, 02:57 PM - Forum: Safety - Replies (1)

Has anyone figured out a way to set the default following distance when enabling ACC/PA? Mine defaults to 4 bars and I'd like to change it.
