The last picture perfectly shows why its not possible to change the door paddle lights without breaking your fingers or removing the door trim panel, its a pain i like to change without doing this it just need 2-3cm more cable.
Volvo S60 B5 AWD Ultimate dark MY23:

Very true. I had the same problem when I was trying to add the foot well lights for the rear passengers under the 2 front seats. There just isn't enough cable length so I had to unscrew the front seats and tilt them forward to gain a better access angle. On the plus side, the door card of the XC60 is probably the easiest ones to remove that I've ever encountered. You unscrew 3 screws, slide it upwards and it's off! Unclip the door handle cable and a wiring connector and you can remove it entirely from the car. It's so easy and quick that it's not worth trying to do it without removing the door card, also because these puddle lights are a real pain to remove without damaging them (at least I haven't found it yet).

Was just changing my speakers to B&W, and noticed there seems to be cables pre-wired in the rear (and front, for trim lights I assume) doors. Would it be as easy as installing the lights and maybe change config via Orbit? :o

It even has two wires down to the bottom, one is for puddle lights of course, but what could the other one be?

Green to puddle lights, and the other one is white.

The whites are for the door pocket light and for the door handle light if I remember well. On my car only existed on the front doors. I had to purchase 2 wiring looms for the rear doors to be able to add the puddle lights, door pocket lights and door handle lights.

Nice, looks like it also has the wiring for the second speaker. You don't happen to have the part number for the loom available? Smile iirc they're the same on left/right.

Unfortunately for the V90 I don't know the part number. On my XC60 though the wiring looms were identical on both rear doors.
