How to buy used key fobs - SPA/CMA key fob and config guide

I am interested in one of the sport key fobs, is it true they are not chargeable?

Ok, Im Dutch but living Northern Ireland.
Anyway, lol, I have no knowledge of the sports key, but what I have understood that they are not rechargeable.
Life of the tag would be approx 3 years, and when dead, have to buy a new tag.

A while ago my sports key died so I opened the case and 3d printed one for it. It worked great for a while but now it seems to only work intermittently and can never unlock/lock from the hatch (only the doors). Does anyone know if reprogramming the key would fix the issue? I don't have these issues with the regular keys.
