How to buy used key fobs - SPA/CMA key fob and config guide
#51
Hi,

are you sure CEM pin is correct, could you write config changes?
How did you determine your CEM pin?
Did you put the new orange key into the first tin holder where the antenna sits?

There should be a symbol on the bottom.
Then in orbit try to add key, do not click erase all!

Adding a key should work like this, orbit afaik doesnt need a virginized key.
Is your car Sensus or SPA? not sure if the VGM is needed for SPA for adding keys too.

Thank you, very appreciated.
Yes, the CEM is correct.
The car has the SENCUS system, and I have already used Orbit to activate Assisted Cruise Control and the Pilot Assist option.
So I can conclude that the CEM code is ok.
I have placed the key endeed at the exact spot where the key symbol is located in my XC40 from 2019.
When running the key program, that is the add new key and not the erase all keys, all what comes up is the message "incorrect pin".
That all what happens

Kind regards,

Dennis

It's not the CEM pin used for features - it's a different CEM pin for IMMO related stuff (level 11). OrBit should be able to get the correct PIN for you as part of the initial process. If you're having issues shoot support(@)spaycetech.com a message and we'll look at logs etc and provide specific advice ??

Thank you, will have to do that.
All what happens, and just checked again, when starting Orbit to have the new key working is that I notice the dash light, and from there it gives the message that the pin is incorrect.
I will send a message to support(@)spaycetech.com

thank you again, very appreciated

Kind regards,

Dennis

Hi Jos,

Thank you, but I havent seen that.
But I have been in mail contact with Customer support.
I did make a mistake in storing the security pin using the CEM pin.
But also got the message with Orbit that with my CEM, it was not supported to extract the security pin.

Kind regards,

Dennis

Hi,

what was the solution?
This would be closing this fine.

What have you payed for the new/used key?

Hi Jos,

the solution was a new upgate for Orbit.
Seems that there is a development in the security key option, which def worked for me.
The key was ££37.10 plus £2.70 P&P from England to Northern Ireland.
In my opinion, for a brand new never used original Volvo key and not an Alieexpress Chinese knockoff, a bargain.

Thank you for your help in this,

Kind regards,

Dennis.

btw, Jos, Dutchman?

German (West) Venlo is not far away.
I am interested in one of the sport key fobs, is it true they are not chargeable?
