Yes, see my earlier post, #5.

Yes, it will work perfectly, it has the same connector. In fact, more than one person has already done it.
If you look at the previous post, you have a screenshot with part codes compatible with XC60 SPA.
¿Sabéis si haciendo esta actualización podremos tener Android Auto sin cable USB?

I really don't understand why swap from USB to USBc and get into all that trouble when there is a simple and cheap
solution.
I tested it with iphone and android, works perfectly.

the only reason is more power for charging phones, as usb c has more compared to usb a

I actually bought a 2 pack of those. They're fine for what they are but drive me nuts because they stick out now.

It has nothing to with the port type it's about the output amperage and both types supports up to 5 amps. For example you can have an USB-C wall adapter with 1,5amp and a regular USB wall adapter with 2.1 amp. The regular would charge your USB-C phone faster than the other one.
Volvo's both oem USB-C and USB-a are up to 2.2 amp. So, if you had any difference in the charging speed, it's the cable and not the output.

I did this for my 2020 T5 XC40 and it was a simple matter of yanking off the section that has the USB-A ports and the cigarette lighter. There are simple matching connectors that you plug into the USB-C flavor. Not sure about other models, but being Volvo, probably easy to pop out or unscrew something behind a cover.
