Hi,
Is it possible to increase the time between the moments you have to move the steering wheel? Or to turn this off completely?
I do everyday around 150km on highway, so I use the function a lot
Also is there an option where you can keep the lane kleeping on and just the speed off when you don't react anymore?
Because now when I get a heart attack, Volvo prefers I have a crash also.......

Is it possible to increase the time..... >>> No.
Also is there an option where you can keep.... >>> Lane keep assist and PA/ACC are two completely separated systems and they operate independent to each other.
When PA disengages due to driver inactivity, it no longer keeps the speed the car will slow down.
ACC on the hand, does not disengage due to driver inactivity, it will continue to keep the distance.
In both cases above, lane keep assist will continue to operate according to settings in the sensus. But keep in mind that lane keep assist has its limitation for correction threshold.
I am sorry to break it to you but if you ever get a heart attack while driving alone, you will most likely be dead in any car!

Hi,
Strange. When I'm inactive for too long he disengage everything
Pa/acc & lane keep assist
Is also one of the things that I don't understand. The car gives a beep for everything. Only when the lane keep assist doesn't see the lines anymore and dissengages the car gives no hearable warning

Car gives warning for PA (Pilot Assist with ACC) in two conditions.
1) Driver does not move or touch the steering wheel more than 10 to 15 seconds. > You will see yellow steering wheel on the dash with sound.
2) If the driver ignores the first warning (yellow above). > You will see red steering wheel icon on the dash with sound then PA will disengage
Both PA and Lane keep assist has no warning sound if it does not detect the lanes.
In the PA mode, the steering wheel icon turns from green to grey while keeping the ACC.
If Lane keep assist does not detect the lane markings, the icon on the dash goes grey.
As I said earlier, both system are completely different and operate independently.

Just FYI..
Today done the OTA 3.3.16 update. After the update I was welcomed by brake failure message, plus a bunch of other driveline related messages. I went to driving options and sure enough, the ACC setting was gone and CruiseControl was there instead. So it seems the update, updated certain parts of the car which caused conflict with the programming I did.
I re-coded the car for ACC and it is back to normal now.

I can also confirm the latest update removes PA.
Reflashing is required

Most firmware updates will lead to CEM config being reset to stock. It is best, if possible, to recode your car to stock with Orbit before applying update.

I’m new here and have searched extensively but haven’t found specific information about the Volvo model I’m considering. I was planning to buy a Volvo XC40 Inscription Expression T4 Recharge MY21 (10/2021 Germany) and was even about to send the signed purchase contract.
As a final check, I compared the option list with the 2021 price lists and was surprised to discover that the car only has Cruise Control (CC) instead of Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). This was unexpected as Volvo is known for its advanced safety systems, and the buttons for ACC are present on the steering wheel. My previous car had ACC, so the lack of it feels like a significant downgrade and potentially a dealbreaker.
- Does anyone have experience activating ACC on a 2021 XC40 PHEV model?
- Is it compatible with OrBit, or what are the chances that this model can support ACC activation?
- Are there specific hardware requirements, such as replacing a pump in a PHEV or other essential components?
- If compatible, is the plan "OrBit $100/year + $125 PIN Service" sufficient for enabling ACC in this car?
I apologize for asking, but taking the risk of spending a lot of money on a used car without knowing the chances of activating ACC is a tough decision .

I don't have experience with the XC40 but I'm pretty sure it will also work with Orbit. It's for all Volvo models.
So indeed you can activate ACC/PA on your XC40 with Orbit. But when you go to the dealer for service you should restore it to default and activate it again after the service.
Regarding question 3: PHEV don't need to change anything. For my XC60 T5 (2019) it also worked without replacing anything.
Question 4: Yes if you have the Sensus system then that is sufficient.

Perhaps some parameters need to be set to another level? It seems that everything was done as described here on the forum.
