Thankfully the S60 doesn't have any of the lower body appearance kits on it, but unfortunately it is also the lowest slung vehicle in our stable so it takes the most abuse getting in and out of the neighborhood. If the S60 had an appearance kit on it there is no doubt that it would have pieces that were FUBAR(ed). you know when you can see gouge marks and significant oil stains on the pavment in the middle of an intersection (not curbside) that it is an undercarriage abuser that must be handled with grandma putz speeds and nimble steering responses.

- If you have iTPMS, you do not have TPMS sensors. iTPMS uses ABS wheel speed sensors and some fancy math to monitor the tire pressures. It doesn't display pressures because it can't.
- The Sensus based cars, support both systems (iTPMS and the sensor type of TPMS), this is a config you can change with OrBit.
- To change the config, and use sensor type TPMS, you must install compatible TPMS sensors in the wheels for it to work.
- The TPMS sensors need to be compatible with Volvo, and use the same frequency as the remote key fobs in your car (could be either 315 or 433Mhz)
I am not sure that the car is required to have the keyless operation, it just needs the antennas present in the car. Are you saying that you do not have any keyless entry at all, the door is unlocked with a key only? I can't imagine that is true..but I am in the US all the Volvos have the totally keyless operation.
What model do you have? I could help you sort it out if you wanted to do this. First would be to take a look and see if the antennas are present, regardless of what remote system you have or don't have. While only a single antenna is needed for simple remote lock/unlock system, the multiple antennas that can track location may simply be the same in all cars. If the antennas are present, it should be possible. It is also possible the Sensus supports running TPMS with a single antenna system, there are config items for it I believe, and the locations of the wheels do not need to be "auto learned" like the multiple antenna system can do. You can set the TPMS sensor IDs and locations with OrBit.

@quattro4awd: After looking at my placard in my door jamb, reccomended 38psi, that is about 260KPa, which is exactly what my config is set to for all items 225-232...so I think there may actually be a link there to a "configured" base tire pressure. Let's keep up to date on what you find if anything here. I am considering lowering my pressure since the swap to 255 wide tires, the pressure doesn't need to be as high for the same load capacity, an online calculator gave me the idea I could run about 36 psi and the ride may benefit slightly. I may run with that and see if I get any messages if I don't change the "Tyre Pressure XXX" configurations.

And yes, no keyless entey at all. Always with keyfob
Its a V60 2019. I know there is 1 antenna inside the car that is used for keyfob recognition but I don't know about the others

wheels finally arrived late yesterday, appointment is set for Saturday to get me swapped over to the S60s new summer shoes. I hope to get some time next week to dive into those settings and see what plays out.
IIRC when I looked at mine in OrBit both the low and high load settings were set to 240kpa(35psi which mimics my door jamb sticker as well). When I clicked the drop down associated with the "low" or "high" there were multiple "pre-canned" pressure value setting (up to 340kpa if IIRC) which will hopefully allow for tailoring of the TPMS warning flag indication preset.
The difference in that preset between the two vehicles I presume is that you have the better sport suspension and R design whereas our S60t6 is just a momentum with the dynamic suspension.

I am wondering will any TPMS sensor at 433MHz works? I have installed a set of continental aftermarket tire pressure monitor, the one with sepreate display. Will this work or I need to have the sensors match your ebay link in the previous post.

1. i-TPMS and d-TPMS cannot be used simultaneously, only one can be selected.
2. The frequency of the TPMS needs to be the same as the frequency of the car key, because the CEM (central electronic module) receives the TPMS signal through an antenna on the roof (shared with the remote control antenna).
3. After the installation is completed, you can click on the CCD (central display screen) to calibrate the tire pressure. At this time, it is best for the vehicle to drive at a higher speed, but it should not exceed 80Km/h. This process is TPMS self-learning, and the tire pressure will display a number after success.
4. In rare cases, Volvo's tire pressure monitoring tools are required to learn, which simply means writing the ID, temperature, tire pressure and other data of the tire pressure sensor into CEM storage.

The "Summer" wheels/tires/TPMS sensors are finally installed.
was hoping to get the TPMS programing done a bit sooner but with all the Canadian wildfire smoke blowing into the front range the last 5 days have been rough, eyes burning like crazy, watering to the point I didn't feel comfortable getting behind the wheel for any reason. I was only outside for 45mins to and hour at Discount Tire Saturday but by the time I got home, tears were streaming down my face, I was done for the day (so you got stuck with a garage pic... I know a closed garage pic with the lights on doesn't really exude feelings of Summer does it? better pics will follow)
1st time Programing, before I was just poking around and collecting information, followed the instructions and listed parameter changes and it appears everything took (based on OrBit's display...have not gone out and driven it yet to test the setting changes). There is no doubt the S60 is a bit thirsty while programming (11.2A)

What I understand:
2.) The keyless antennas are around the car, in my S60 there are 3, one each side of the pass compartmentt, and one in the trunk. The same technique to track the location of the key fobs, is used to work out which wheel location for each sensor.
4.) OrBit can edit the TPMS sensor IDs on the service tab. Although you need to have the IDs, either read the ID printed on the sensor before installaton, or if already installed you'd need a TPMS tool that can read the ID. Auto learning appears to be able to be enabled/disabled, I suspect if there are variants of cars without the ability to track location (single keyless antenna) those may need the sensor IDs written with the locations.

Note, I may have already said....don't freak out at the flashing TPMS "warning light" icon. It will be that way until learning is completed, then a message pops up on the IHU or DIM, saying "TPMS calibration complete" or something like that, then you are good!

There are multiple versions of "protocols" with TPMS, so if you need say 433MHz, not just any 433MHz sensor will work. It doesn't seem like sensors are sold with information about which type of protocol they use, all you can do is buy them by compatibility with a car it seems. So in that case, if you can confirm compatibility of a sensor with any SPA Volvo that did originally come with TPMS sensors (2016 XC90 in many markets had sensor system) then that is a way to confirm a sensor will work.
