Technically you can crimp those wires yourself but all components are expensive and complex. Better get a used ones.
You need 3 cables: one to IHU, one to camera, one with communication to CANbus and power
Spent some time checking eBay and brokers around. By the time i have sourced all the parts around, total cost is rising very near the price of dealer has for the retrofit kit.

31650273 should be everything but the WAM and the holder for WAM. If im correct... Got a quote for that, 520€
If that has all the needed parts, its not that bad price, i think.

It works like this:
V90 2017 and XC90 2015-2017 have old type of IHU (radio/navi) unit - it does not support direct connection to camera.
In those years - you need a special module which is plugged between IHU and Camera (WAM - Wide angle module - parking cameras)

I am curious, in the -2017 models, have you found if the WAM hardware is the same between rear-only and 360 cam equipped models?

I cannot confirm 100% but I am 99% sure that it is the case.
Why?

Looking at the used units - some have 3 plugs butchered by car-part butchers (1 camera + 1 IHU plug) , some have full 5 plugs (4 cameras + 1cable to IHU)
Interestingly when you read the label - the SW and HW version on both are exactly the same.
So it seems the unit can do both and responds accordingly to the request sent by the car - either backup or 360 view.

But my assumption is that the unit needs to be paired with the car.
Thats why a WAM reload is needed - as stated in the official VOLVO backup camera retrofit installation manual

I played with the WAM unit recently - second hand. Worked well.
Couple of thoughts.

First:
WAM unit has a software installed and there are two versions - PAC360 and PAC360 & BLIS.
If the initial car that the WAM module is comming from had BLIS enabled - you will have to enable BLIS in Orbit (along with PAC360 or reverse camer) in order for the module to work.

Second:
Although to see the camera option on the car infotaiment - it is enough to change the configuration in orbit (see point First) - if you want to do any diagnostics to WAM module - you have to click the UPDATE PROFILE button on the main Orbit screen.
It will add WAM module to the list of installed modules.
I do hope that it is still allowing to reverse to initial OEM configuration (did not check)

Third:
I did not make my camera to work. I only have 1 piece - this is the one with 6pins socket.
The camera does not show up - there is an icon of crossed out camera when i enable the 360 or revers cam view.
In the module diagnostics it is possible to read Serial numbers of all 360 cameras - all are FFFFFFFF in my case, so either a cable or camera is broken or - camera requires adaptation.

Question to Power6 - when I replace the reverse camera unit - do I need to adopt it in any way? If yes - can you please suggest what commands to send? (Thanks)
