Just a quick note to confirm that 32143979 is the correct part number for the rear door wiring harness if you want to add high level illumination to your car. I've completed the installation and everything works as expected. I'm attaching some photos of the process.

Hi, good evening!
I’ve already upgraded everything to high-level interior illumination, including the tailgate. The only thing left is adding the cupholder light in the center tunnel. Has anyone done this? Where are you taking the signal from? From the center console storage light, or are you going directly to the CEM and using its dedicated output? Thanks.

I added the cup holder light but it was like a year ago. There is an unused plug it plugs into. There’s no additional wiring needed. You do need the diffuser as well as the light though.

Oh! Perfect!
I already have a complete coaster with the diffuser and the LED. Do you know where the connector for the light is located? Thanks

Have you got a part number or a photo of it fitted on another car? I'm not sure I'm aware of this mod. To be honest I hadn't even noticed that the cupholder wasn't illuminated. I admit I'm curious to see what it looks like.
Hi everyone,
I’m trying to add front footwell lights to my base model V60 2020 T4 Momentum, which didn't come with them from the factory. My ultimate goal is to add them to the rear too, but I haven't wired those yet. I wanted to get the fronts working first, and with time, I'll tackle the rear. Here is what I’ve done so far: Found the wiring: The wires and connectors were already there, tucked under the dash, so I assume they run directly to the CEM. Bought the lights: Purchased the lights and tested them independently — they 100% work. Plugged them in & coded: Connected them to the factory wiring and used OrBit to change the interior lighting settings. I tried changing the parameters from "Base" to "Mid" and then to "High." Checked Infotainment: Dug through the center screen, but couldn't get them to light up. None of these settings have made the lights turn on. Has anyone successfully retrofitted these on a base trim? Is there another parameter in OrBit I am missing, or does the base CEM lack the pins to actually power them? Any help is appreciated!

I think only the connectors are present. They’re not wired into anything if the car didn’t come with them. I added rear footwell lights and I had to tap into the fronts. Probably the same if the car didn’t come with them, you’ll have to find out where they’re wired into and do it.

I'm not sure what these mid and high level options are. Does the high level option have a higher quantity of lights or are they brighter? It bothers me that the light strips on the dashboard and doors are so dim. Is it possible to make them brighter? XC90 2019.

As far as I know the high level lights includes additional lights
1) at the bottom the door panels 2) door handles 3) door panel storage area 4) RGB mood lights at the top corners and front center. |
