The ones above the rear doors are not lit. Would I need to change the entire assembly to update that? Or is it also wiring?

It’s the assembly. The cars that don’t have high level illumination don’t have the additional LED in the rear reading lights just the lenses are the same. If you swap them they will work. Lights with  chrome bezel have the additional LED and lights with the same colour bezel as the headliner do not.

Thank you for the answer! My wifes XC90 has the rear lights and I really like it. Will try to find some at pull a part or similar.

Is this the one that should have the rear led?
Do you have the part number by any chance? [Image: cd784e56ac9b7b0ee3c397343a975a19.jpg]

Does anyone know if those lights are the same between v60 and xc90? I found one locally in good shape but part number corresponds to xc90. It looks the same but who knows why volvo engineers made different part numbers. It costs approx 40 usd including shipping. According to volvo catalogue there are 2 lights, one for each row (second and third) for xc90 and this is one of them.

Those numbers above are different parts. I'm looking for that middle reading light. Xc90 part number 31457644.
Picture from local offer for xc90 attached. Looks the same to me. Not sure if I want to risk 40usd. [Image: 23264fe2e3b3a828c97e1b3523900606.jpg]

Didn't want to risk so I found dedicated light for my V60.

For those of you who have added reading lights.
Where do you have them mounted?
I see that for those with panoramic sunroofs, it's next to the hook.
But what about those with standard sunroofs?
The roof has a mark at the height of the C-pillar.

I don't know if it's worth starting a new thread since this mod is about interior lights so I'll post it here. After reading this thread https://www.swedespeed.com/threads/addin...st-7862154 on how to retrofit high level illumination to a S60 I wanted to do the same to my 2021 XC60 Momentum. I started by sourcing all the parts from second hand sellers as per the list on this thread but I figured that the door harness cannot possibly be the same between the XC60 and the S60 mainly because the cable lengths should differ but also there was a very high possibility the wiring between 2 different models is not the same. I was lucky enough to have found a seller who posted really good photos of the connectors where I could see what cable colour goes to what pin and so I bit the bullet and bought a wiring harness without knowing whether it'll fit my XC60.
I'm happy to report that it did and now I have high level illumination on my right rear door! Everything else is as per the above post but

the rear right door harness for 2021 XC60 Momentum is 32143979-AC (at least this worked for me. I have the high performance audio but not HK or B&W).

Does anyone know if the rear left door uses the same harness or a different one and what the part number might be?

PS: Excuse my ignorance I've got many photos of the process but I can't seem to be able to find a button to attach them to this post.
