Enabling Pilot Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control

Understood, I just wish I knew why they specified a different pump so I could make an informed decision.

Orbit worked like a champ here.  I am so happy.  My 2021 S60 T8 Recharge took the flash and Pilot assist works fantastic.

I enabled Pilot Assist 2, which includes stop and go traffic.

Does my car support Pilot Assist 3, with GPS integration?

From AI:

Pilot Assist Generations
PA1 (Generation 1)
∙ Max speed: ~30 mph (50 km/h)
∙ Requires a lead car ( you have to be following someone)
∙ Basic lane centering + adaptive cruise
∙ Vehicles: XC90 MY2015-2016 (original equipment)
PA2 (Generation 2)
∙ Works up to 135 km/h (80-88 mph) and does not need a lead car
∙ PA2 was an upgrade to 2016 models and had other tweaks
∙ Improved lane centering independence
∙ Vehicles: MY2017+ SPA vehicles standard; retrofit available for MY2016
PA3 (Generation 3)
∙ Uses navigation data for improved accuracy in curves
∙ Includes Curve Speed Assist (CSA) - proactively slows for curves using map data
∙ When Volvo introduced the SPA versions of S60, V60, and V60CC for MY2019 they came with a newer PA
∙ Listed as “Pilot Assist with Navi” on configuration sites
∙ Vehicles: MY2019+ S60/V60 platform; available as paid upgrade for some PA2 vehicles

Hi guys,

Does anyone have the original configuration of an european iCup XC40 with pilot assist?
I activated it on mine but it's quite unsure and also "violent" in the way it's correcting the steering.
I rented a Polestar 2 multiple times for work and the way it steers feels more confident, not over correcting everything, but of course during my business trips I don't bring any diagnostics tools with me.

Thanks!

Dealer updated to 4.2.13 and naturally reverted the car back to stock. Re-activated ACC and Stop/Go assist with 1 setting with Orbit

Hello.

I activated Pilot Assist / ACC Level 1 via the config wizard.
After activation, a fault code appears in the BCM.

BCM-U210856 – Adaptive Cruise Control – System Programming Failures – Invalid/incompatible configuration.

Im really keen to activate PA and ACC on my 2019 XC60 but terrified of it all going wrong and seriously messing things up. I do miss it from my previous car.

Don’t worry, they’ve made the activation very easy. Just make sure you have a VOE/ENET cable.
There’s always the option to revert back to the original.

I activate PA3 on my 2019 V60 and is working. I don't see any diference betwen PA2 and PA3

IIRC mostly the curve support (lowers the speed in sharper curves, for a "smoother" ride (debatable, I have it and find it rather extreme tbh, it brakes too much Big Grin ). Not sure if there's different hardware requirements as well.
