Wireless Charger install on 2017

Do you know if all 2019+ (IHU 3.2) units come with an SSD? 

I know for sure 2021 and 2022 s60 models come with SSD. 
I replaced my IHU with a newer one that came with SSD. It also does not have CD player connection which was discontinued anyway.  

Before swapping your HDD, make sure to uninstall all your applications first. Because according to VOLVO download center database, your VIN already have the applications installed. They would not show up for download although sensus shows no apps are installed due to fact that replacement HDD does not have them.

Anyone has a thread on how to physically install the new cupholder with the charger? It appears the whole armrest console is to be removed. Or is there a simpler way?

The complete centre console is different where the charger is, so you would replace it as complete unit. You can replace the trim if the effect is different. But you cant use the older centre console and make it fit.

Still WIP, tremendous amount of work to install the wireless charger - the whole centre console had to be taken out… There’re 2 screws that hold the trim around the cup holders that are only accessible from the buttom

Sounds like an unnecessary headache. I hope everyone has seen the complaints regarding those chargers being extremely slow and heating up their phones. Also, not being MagSafe it won’t hold your phone in the best spot for charging. If you haven’t seen the alternatives, there’s several various designs available now, this being the newest model that I’m aware of and own.
