Hi,
I need help on a Bowers and Wilkins Gen 2 amp fitted to a 2017 volvo. Ive installed all the speakers but now I only get actual sound out the rear roof speakers all doors seem to be very low sound and i have issue of the indicators etc not working, they light up just no sound but the voice control talks from the rear speakers.
Do I need to repin the speaker wires as it seems the car is the wrong way round, but I also have like 10 dtc showing up but it wont says the codes on the show drc on orbit?
2017 high performance or basic spec to the Bowers and Wilkins 2023 Gen 2 with silver speakers.

Okay, great info!
Im about to do this same project for my V90 CC 2018 high performance with a subwoofer. So I need all the B&W speakers, the amplifier (AUD), the center speaker (dashboard speaker), and lots of wiring, right?
But I don't need to repin the AUD connector pins?

Hi, Issue is I have the newer silver speaker set inc the dash 4 pin connector speaker.
I do have the door looms which have the extra wiring, question is if i can just swap it no issues as there are pins missing or added compared to both. Isn't to much of an issue to wire more cables as i want to add the rear heated seat system also, and power fold headrest. The main harness under the carpet will be a pain.
The Gen2 just sounds so much clearer and crisp, Cat B car so got all the parts needed the main loom however is damaged and cannot be used.
Its going to be a project, just need to get everything ready for the day I strip the interior.

You also need to repin the door connector with new wires coming from the AUD. (adding the third channel to each door).

Yes, but not only that. You may also need the second too. If your current rear door speakers are all in parallel, you'll two additional channels (4 wires) from the AUD to each speaker separately.
The the dash center, you will need additional wiring too for the tweeter.

So far I have completed the rear doors its got 4 wires 2 sets, 2 going to the main speaker, and the other 2 are split between the tweeter and mid. You only need to run the 2nd set for the tweeter and mid.
The rear roof speakers on the XC90 are already connected but the position is wrong on aud pin out.
Volvo moved the pins poisoning of the speaker the other way round, so unless you move pins the indicator and navigation directions with come out the very back rear roof speakers.
The front doors there are 3 sets of speakers wires each speaker has its own direct connection to the aud. You need to add 2 sets.
Dash speaker on gen2 you need to run another 2 wires plus the wires already there so 2 sets. 4 pin connector, as mine is 2017 the connector is 2 pin, which wont work on gen2.
Its not to bad a job, strip interior is easiest with a floor harness from a scrap car so you can take the wiring from it and just add the missing wires and move the pins over.
SUB is also simple to add, loads of guides on installing that.
