Parking sensors

Yes, you can change the CEM there are two ways doing it.
1) Officially > getting a brand-new one and using VIDA to reload it. However, I am not sure if VIDA would allow reloading a different level than the original. LO to "high"
2) Un official > You need to get a used one and clone yours to the used one. Cloning is done on the bench. You need special tool and computer software to do that. There are some shops offer this type of service, you will need to ask around.

I already consider the case lost but at least it serves as information for other colleagues.

Officially: They tell me that they can only put a "Medium" Md, which is the one available for my car according to the Volvo system. Same response in 2 official dealers.

Unofficially: I have asked 4 stores specialized in switchboards and they can only clone if it is the same CEM code.
When changing codes and higher models, the chip changes and data cannot be copied from one unit to another. It's quite logical...

It would be great to open a thread and comment on the CEM units we have and the changes we can make to help other colleagues and corroborate the information I have obtained.

Greetings!

The sad part is that the instructions are no longer available. Does anyone have them saved perhaps and doesn't mind sharing?  Huh

I attach a link to the manual and 2 images that will help you.
You'll explain how it went.

Hello! Don't judge me too harshly. I've read a lot, but the question remains Smile
I have a 2022 XC60 PHEV T8 with the iCup system. There aren't even parking sensors in the front!
There's wiring, on the wiring there are connectors for fog lights that are not connected to anything. There's also a 2-pin connector that is connected to the Volvo badge in the grille. Near the left wheel, the connector that goes to the CEM has 7 contacts.

I bought wiring 32374129. I selected it for a car that has 4 parking sensors and fog lights and that's it. But on the wiring there is another incomprehensible connector that most likely also goes to the Volvo badge (maybe it's a camera).
I bought 4 sensors 32292457.
I checked the CEM unit, it is "HI" (32320214 AA HI).

Please tell me how many wires should go to the CEM, considering that I have an additional connector in the Volvo badge for 2 pins (the second incomprehensible connector, which is probably for the camera, we do not accept)?

Good evening. Help with a manual for the XC60 23 model year. I can only find the 24 model year and 2015 on the forum. I can't figure out which module controls the parking sensors on my car, which was produced in the 10th month of 2022, but is already a 2023 model year. Please don't write that the forum already has everything Smile or if it does, give me a link.

This's not quite true. In this topic, on page 2, post 13, IMAY2023 write that in the 24 MY, the parking sensors are controlled by the ASDM module. That`s why I ask for a manual for the 23 MY, so as not to in vain pull wires into the CEM and get a zero result.

According to this  https://accessories.volvocars.com/en-us/...atic?query
Parking sensors connected to the CEM was optional retrofit up to 2020 models.  Maybe I am wrong but as far as I know, VOLVO moved the parking sensors to  ACTIVE SAFETY DOMAIN MASTER ASDM since 2021 with the Android informant systems "CMA" cars.
