Front parking sensors

Nice, looks a lot like mine, did you make the harness or buy it??

I bought a harness with the connectors for the PDC and the fog lights, which had a connector that ended in the wheel arch, from there to the CEM I built a new harness.

I have a XC60 MY2019. Does anyone have a tip on how to get the wiring from the cem through the bulkhead to the engine compartment. I have all the stuff to connect the parking sensors but can't find a way to get from the cem to the engine compartment. It's a left hand drive. How did others solve this?

Hi, download this manual.
I did it this way.
If you have any questions, let me know.

Thanks a lot. This is exactly what I needed. I was looking for a passage on the driver's side but I have to be on the other side. This manual is super helpful.

I have a 2021 V60 and I'm looking to add front parking sensors. Not 6 but 4 - I don't need parking assist.
I have sensors but I'm missing one crucial information to order a new harness for front bumper.
There is so many harness versions depending of cars equipment and I don't want to buy one that will have either too many connections on it or not enough.

and new harness must be 2G01, EZ02 and one of the VP codes. I can see there are 4 different codes and probably they describe 4 different outfit codes. I can see VP01 - VP04:

Anyone know what VP codes mean or know how to get the codes so I can buy a harness and install it (and use orbit to activate it)? I tried to find solution on swedespeed but no luck yet. No luck on one of the Polish Volvo forums...

The standard one you need. The cheapest that comes with 4 sensors and 2 for fog lights. but that's the problem. You should have the harness connector from the front bumper to the CEM and most likely you do not have it. (check behind the front left wheel arch cover.)  So, you will need 6 wires going from the front bumper harness to the CEM.  The second problem, since your bumper does not have sensors, most likely you don't even have the wholes for them. You will need to replace your fog light bezels.  The two front sensors are on them. So, it's better for you to find a used front bumper with all the harness and sensors on it rather than buying all separately

Thanks I will check this out. I don't have fog light in the front (PHEV) and I have 4 plugs in the front for sensors.
Now the question is if there is a harness from bumper to CEM. I need to check this out. If not then here case is simple as there are only 4 harnesses available (2 for LHD - C101 and 2 for RHD - C102).
I'll come back soon once this is confirmed.

First of all, check the CEM model.
I had a Low CEM and it didn't work, and I ended up changing it for a HI CEM. With all the headaches that it brought me.
I was able to physically verify that internally they had the same CPU or main chip, but they didn't have all the integrated ones for the front sensors.
So if I have a low CEM it is not possible to install the sensors??
I tried activating the front sensors on Orbit before mounting them, but they don't work and neither do the rear ones.
Maybe it doesn't recognize them because the system doesn't notice their presence?

If you activate front sensors or Semi Automatic parking without having the front or side sensors, the whole system will not work and you will most like see an error message on the DIM.
But before making such changes that requires additional sensors or modules or wiring, check your CEM. Like mentioned above not all the modules are same. They have different variants such as the CEM. (Low / MID and high) You must have the one labeled high.  Low or MID are missing the pins hat front sensors are connected to.

As my colleague rightly points out, if you have a low CEM, you won't be able to activate the sensors, and the entire system will fail.
The same thing happened to me, and I ended up installing a cloned High CEM to get it working.

Yes. I was just curios if it was possible.

In theory it is possible. But you mentioned "new V60"; from MY24 parking sensors are not controlled by CEM. They are connected to ACTIVE SAFETY DOMAIN MASTER ASDM and it is not easy to add the wires there if they are missing.

Good afternoon! My car is a 2023 model year XC60 on Android with a very simple CORE configuration, it doesn't even have front parking sensors. I really want to make front parking sensors, I have already found the front wiring number with 4 sensors and the sensor numbers. But now I can't find information on whether it is possible to add front parking sensors at all? Does anyone have practical experience with such an operation or maybe there is a link to how to do it or has anyone done it?

Check the forum, there are explanations. I did it, and it's all here. Just search for it. If you have any questions, ask me.
Okay, check that you can do it based on your year of manufacture.
I think that starting in 2022, the parking sensor management will work differently. All the information is in the forum.
Thanks.
