Update: 2024 V60 recharge supports factory hitch with full factory functions even though Volvo does not offer this as an official option in the US. I installed the European hitch because it’s better looking to my way of thinking and towing needs, but the US V60 XC factory hitch installs just fine too. It’s so simple! All of the wiring as well as the necessary bumper cut out are already there. All that is needed is the Volvo factory hitch hardware and TRM module. I suggest purchasing a new one since the great news is that VIDA Will program the TRM and bless the configuration! Full function including trailer stability, reversing lines in display for trailer, deploy and retract. In fact, my dealer was so surprised, that they are now offering this accessory to other V60 recharge owners. I love ORBIT, but for this upgrade, a three day VIDA subscription or trip to dealer for programming is worth it.

Are you sure you can officially install the module programming through VIDA if it's not available on that model/region?

I thought OrBit was the only route to have it work like OEM

Positive. Did that myself. I used VIDA to program the new module. No problem. Complete function and no need to revert when going to dealer.
