Key Programming: Key not Detected
#1
Hey,

I was trying to configure a key I got on Ebay. But it says Status:Key not detected. When I hit add key, it goes through the motion and says CEM: Key not detected.

The key is in the cubby under the screen, I am trying to program a polestar 2 key on a 2022 Polestar DRM.

I replaced the battery with a brand new one, I was curious if I had to do anything to the key to make it findable or anything like that.

Would "CEM: key not detected" be due to not having extracted the CEM security pin/key first? Rather than it not detecting the actual key fob? I recall that orbit may not be able to extract the CEM security pin on some cars after 2019I can't remember what mine said when I programmed my spare key.

User error - it needed to be in the cup holder under the arm rest. Not the cubby under the screen. It was out of range
