Parameter 044 Stop In Speed / Stop In Velocity
#1
Parameter 044 is labeled Stop In Speed Velocity - does anyone know what this does?
For refence, on my car (MY23 XC40 Recharge) it is set to 09 - 7 km/h by default.

Im going to guess here:

Start / Stop speed at which the engine can be cut if slowing to a stop.

Ah - interesting guess x119, thanks. This would make sense, but looking at possible values, it can be set to 01 “Without StopInSpeed” (which would mean - need to come to a full stop before cutting the engine?), but as high as 84 “StopInSpeed 130 km/h”! I guess for someone who wants to coast down a (steep) hill without burning any fuel. I just wonder how safe that would be…  Smile

Still makes perfect sense.  My old 2018 XC60 with just a gas engine would only cut off when it came to a complete stop, such as a stoplight.  My current 2023 V60 PE Hybrid will gladly cut the ICE off at 130km/h (about 80mph), regardless of hills.  The manual even states the ERAD will work alone up to 140KMH/87MPH:

Quote:Pure mode is not available:
  • if the battery's charge level is too low
  • if the vehicle's speed exceeds 140 km/h(87 mph) (does not apply on downhill gradients, etc.)

EDIT: Now that I think about it, the "In" is probably a coders shorthand for INternal combustion engine.
