Retrofit Keyless Entry
#1
As you know, the cars are equipped with Keyless Start as standard. Which means that all keys are equipped with the keyless signal.

Since it is illogical to first open the car with the electronic key, then put the key back in the pocket and drive away... Still thought of installing keyless.

You need the following parts:
4x door handles, with button and leds
3x antenna
1x tailgate button
pieces of wiring harness
You must add a piece of wiring harness to all doors.

For the LED in the door you can find this in the plug of the door module. (Attached to your window motor.)
For the front doors: Pin A16 & the brown/yellow ground cable A14
For the rear doors: Pin A8 & the brown/yellow ground cable A23

For keyless you also need to add the following:
2x antennas in both rear doors
1x antenna in the trunk

See attached EWD, here you can also see which pinout you need in the door plug.

16/130 Antenna left rear door
16/131 Antenna right rear door
16/133 Luggage compartment antenna
16/135 Passenger compartment antenna
4/56 CEM

1x tailgate button, this one is plug and play!

From all doors a signal wire for the button towards the CEM.

Pinout at the door plug I took the original pins.

Pin A4 at the front doors and pin 10 at the rear doors.

Then activate the following options with Orbit:

080 KEYLESS ANTENNAS : 03 With four keyless antennas
094 KEYLESS ENTRY: 02 Passive entry, personal car communicator incl. remote tag.
117 DOOR HANDLE LIGHT: 02 With door handle light on all door handles.

And everything works! (Here anyway.)

I don't understand why the LED door handles are needed tho?
Also, what tailgate button are you reffering to?

I think it's standard for the keyless handles. never seen a car that had keyless without leds.

But jeah, why not install the led part as well? :-)

The normal button closes the tailgate, there's also a "double" button which allows you to close the tailgate and lock the car.

Cause it'll make it more expensive Wink)

Hello, Do you have the references of the elements to install? I can't find them on the internet. Thanks in advance

Hi folks,
I have taken the trouble to search for all the plugs and identify the Volvo suppliers. I have ordered the plugs but can't test their fit yet as the packages are still on their way. I will update if something is wrong.
For the doorhandles: Yazaki 7283-2763-30 (currently not tested)
And for the antennas:  Japan Aviation Electronics MX34003SF1  (fit's perfect)
Hope i could help someone Smile

31462059 - Doorhandle ( L )
31419515 - Keyless Antenna Bracket
31346697 - Keyless Antennas

As far as the wiring is concerned, I have no idea how to build it with the original wiring harnesses. I follow the wiring diagrams from TweakeNL. I have already mentioned the correct connectors in the previous post.

Would there be any issues if one does not have an automatic boot?
EDIT: guessing you just skip the button as it does not exist on manual booted cars.

Also if anybody can explain in further details on how long cables need to be run i'd appreciate it. Do you need to run cable from door to module or can you jack into the current harness?
Would really appreciate more install pics so i can wrap my head around this retrofit.
