Hi everyone,

I’m planning a seat upgrade on my 2017 Volvo XC90 and could use some advice from anyone who has done a similar retrofit.
Current Setup:
- 2017 XC90 with fully electric, heated front seats (with memory).
- Fully electric front seats from a 2022 XC90 with both heating and ventilation (which is the main reason for the upgrade).
- Is this a straightforward plug-and-play mechanical and electrical swap, or are there wiring/pinout differences between the 2017 and 2022 MYs?
- Will I need to replace or add any modules (e.g. under-seat modules), or will the donor seats' existing modules work once configured?
- Regarding software: I have Orbit and noticed the option to enable heated + ventilated seats in the config. Is Orbit software activation enough to get the ventilation working properly, or is additional Volvo OEM software required?
Thanks in advance!
