A couple of clarifying questions: Has your dashboard received the message "Volvo on Call requires service" or have you checked the fault codes?
There is an "epidemic" in Finland where hundreds of VoCs have stopped operating last fall and early this year. Volvo does not say why and service shops either say that "VCM is broken and needs to be replaced. Estimated cost 1500-2000 euros". The fault code is VCM-U107604.
