no connection VoC - Andrei - 02-10-2026 Hi! What does the highlighted text mean? My car disappeared from the app on my phone on January 8th and won't reconnect((( Is there any way I can connect my car to my phone? RE: no connection VoC - R1maS - 02-10-2026 It happened after 4.2.13 OTA? RE: no connection VoC - Andrei - 02-10-2026 (11 hours ago)R1maS Wrote: It happened after 4.2.13 OTA? No. I didn't do any updates. I'm from Russia, and on January 8th, cars here suddenly disconnected from the phone app. I just saw the message in Orbit and wanted to check. Maybe I need to change some parameter for VCM to connect to VOC? RE: no connection VoC - danthe88 - 02-10-2026 Nope, read drive2, VOC is disabled in Russia RE: no connection VoC - jos - 02-10-2026 Yes — Volvo On Call (VOC) is effectively unavailable or severely limited in Russia. Since 2022–2023, Volvo has disconnected Russian vehicles from most of its online services. As a result, Volvo On Call no longer works normally in Russia. What’s affected: Remote functions in the app (lock/unlock, remote start, climate control) Vehicle location and tracking Vehicle status and notifications New Volvo On Call subscriptions or registrations Why this happened: Volvo Cars exited the Russian market and shut down digital infrastructure there Backend servers and connectivity for Russian VINs were disabled Dealer systems linked to Volvo’s global network were also restricted What this means in practice: Even if the car has the hardware, the app won’t connect Existing subscriptions don’t function properly There is no official Volvo-supported workaround inside Russia Some owners try unofficial solutions (SIM changes, VPNs, foreign accounts), but these are unreliable and not supported by Volvo. Well if this is true, thats a hard nut if you got a Volvo in Russia, first thought illegal starlink antennas ;-) just joking. funny this circle between usa, china and russia. shit happens https://eng.autostat.ru/news/23834 https://global.espreso.tv/volvo-disconnects-russian-users-from-its-online-services https://newsukraine.rbc.ua/news/volvo-disconnects-russians-from-its-services-1696940919.html?utm_source=chatgpt.com RE: no connection VoC - Andrei - 02-10-2026 (7 hours ago)danthe88 Wrote: Nope, read drive2, VOC is disabled in Russia Everything worked fine until January 8th, 2026 ![]() (6 hours ago)jos Wrote: Yes — Volvo On Call (VOC) is effectively unavailable or severely limited in Russia. Thanks for the detailed answer and links! I know that Volvo was forced to close its service centers in Russia, but VOC was still working until recently (January 8th, 2026). We haven't had a single official Volvo dealership in Russia for a long time, and that's sad... we have a lot of Volvo fans. Regarding the cycle, it's really funny))) It's interesting that Volvo accepts payment for VOC service without any problems, but for some reason, users suffer... My question was about the inscription in Orbit... I just thought that VOC could be activated somehow with it. |
