No AUD seen in ECU Tools

I tried resetting the IHU as well as disconnecting the battery (with full profile updates) without result. What worked was to disconnect and reconnect the MOST fiber - after that the full profile update found the AUD, hurray! Makes some sense I guess, assuming the fibers carry control signaling as well as the audio packets and the IHU would act as an CAN interface for the AUD (or is ECU communication using Ethernet rather than CAN?).
