No AUD seen in ECU Tools - sdca_xc40plus - 04-13-2025

Hi all, I’m new to Orbit and car configuration.

I expected to see an AUD in the ECU Tools pull down menu but there is none, even after doing Update Profile to read all connected ECUs. 2024 XC40 with stock HP amplifier under the seat working fine.

What basic stuff am I missing/doing wrong here? Screenshot attached.

Thanks!

RE: No AUD seen in ECU Tools - Power6 - 04-15-2025

The AUD has not been found by OrBit. Usually that means the module (AUD) is not responding to diagnostics. This happens, where a module "works" fine in the car, no apparent problems, but it's also not responding to diagnostics.

What you can do:
  • When you update the profile, make sure to choose YES to the question about finding new ECUs (So OrBit will look for and add modules not previously found, i.e. not already in the list on ECU Tools tab)
  • If you still don't see AUD show in the list: Reset the IHU - From the ECU Tools tab there, select the IHU, then click the "Reset ECU" button. This is like a reboot, nothing is lost the infotainment will just restart. Then try update profile again (same as above) and see if the AUD finally shows up. The AUD communicates through the IHU, so sometimes it is an IHU issue why the AUD is unreachable over diagnostics.
  • If that fails, you might either: Disconnect/Reconnect 12V battery OR unplug/replug all cables to the AUD. Whatever de-powers it and re-powers it again, like a "cold start" and then once again, update profile as above, and see if the AUD shows up in the ECU list.
