Come on, that's an awful idea.

I have designed and 3Dprinted the rings. Will install them in a few weeks

Hello, can you please provide the 3d object (stl file) ? or send it to may email ? (stefan@ungurean.ro) 10x

I worked with a Volvo tech to verify the B&W Gen 1 part numbers

Below is a summary of the hardware parts for the Bowers & Wilkins Gen 1 [2019-2020 gold speakers].  A software configuration change is required with Orbit.  It is possible that VIDA might recognize it and perform a software update but unlikely since the car did not come with B&W from the factory.  I recently installed a heated steering wheel into a 2016 XC90 R-Design and VIDA did recognize it even though 2016 R-Designs did not have a heated wheel from the factory in the U.S.

B&W - Gen 1 ::  2020 V60PE and 2020 S60PE used to confirm numbers

PART ............................................................. QTY .... PART NUMBER
Amplifier .......................................................... 1 ........... 36010455
B&W S/V60 center speaker grille ........................ 1 .......... 39829157
Loudspeaker, Center, Premium Sound System ..... 1 ........... 31350432
Speaker, base front door ................................... 2 ........... 32246255
Speaker, tweeter front/rear door ........................ 4 ........... 31350430
Speaker, mid-range front door ........................... 2 ........... 31456249
Speaker, base rear door .................................... 2 ........... 31438280
Speaker, roof / parcel shelf ................................ 2 .......... 31438338
Subwoofer ........................................................ 1 .......... 31456823
Loudspeaker ..................................................... 1 .......... 32201744

Hi all,

I’ve swap all HK speakers and amp on my V60 MY19 with B&W speakers Gen1 (B&W amp Gen1 is from V60) .
I did the change in OrBit and all looks and sounds good or I think it is.
However the AUD is in red in OrBit Topology Explorer.

What does that means?
Should I be worried?

It's reporting a DTC; go into the module to see the error and you'll know what's wrong.

Hi all,

I've been following along closely and have bought my own amp. I'm realising I may have made a mistake though!

I have an XC60 amp and it sounds a bit weird, I am assuming because of the DSP. Is there anything I can do to give this amp the S60 timings and tunings etc?

Any advice much appreciated, gen 1 S60 amps are basically non existent!

Yellow means DTC Stored for that module.

Also, I don't see AUD module on top of the DTC Report.
Could red module means that module is faulty or no connection with it?

At the same time I don’t have issues with the sound system (or at least I don't see them) and everything is working correctly.

What are the part numbers of the pins in rear doors for Bowers and Wilkins (Harman Kardon) retrofit for mid ranges (and twitters)?

The pin references are
  • 94/509:7 and 94/509:7 for rear left door
  • 94/510:7 and 94/510:7 for rear right door

Got it, thanks for the link!

For the rear door midrange/tweeter wiring, has anyone seen 94/509:8 already populated on the car-side plug? Is that wire actually used/prewired, or is it a blank/dummy wire that needs to be repinned or reused?

More details

I’m retrofitting Bowers & Wilkins audio into my Volvo and using the Harman Kardon/B&W wiring diagram as reference.
In the attached wiring diagram, the rear door midrange/tweeter circuit appears to use connector 94/509 pins 7 and 8.
I also attached a photo of my actual car-side plug with the relevant pins outlined. On my plug:
  • 94/509:7 appears to be empty
  • 94/509:8 already has a pin/wire present

For anyone who has done the Harman Kardon or B&W retrofit, did you add both pins 7 and 8, or only add the missing pin 7 and leave the existing pin 8 in place?
I’m trying to confirm whether pin 8 is already prewired on some cars, or whether the existing wire is unrelated and needs to be repinned/reused for the retrofit.

Hello,  ayastrebov, could you be si kind to share with me the dimensions of the rings. Or may be the file for the 3D printer?
Thank you in advance!
