Wireless Charger install on 2017
#41
Hi!

I have now tested to program with button and it works fine for me. (As seen earlier in the thread i have retrofitted a new center console with charge in front of the gear selector, added LIN wire from CEM in my XC60 MY2020)

Hi, good afternoon. Do I really need to remove the entire center console to install the charger?

Nice!

Really curious to know more about your experience, I've run the wire and coded but my charger does not work. A couple of questions:

CEM. FL 41
 Brown Connector Large.
If you have IHU 3.2 you can enable the on off switch option in Orbit and it will display a wireless charging icon.
Pin is normally there, some work, some dont.
1. Is this the wire you ran? Anything else needed?

2. What options did you code?

Hello,

I’ve installed the wireless charger, but it’s not working.

- I’ve taken the 12V supply from the old cupholder 12V socket (pin 1 positive and pin 5 GND).
- The signal from pin 6 has been connected to pin FL41 on the CEM.
- I’ve set parameter 366 to 04, and also tested option 02.

Do you have option 450 configured?

The button appears on the screen without any errors.

Could you give me any advice or tell me how you have it configured?

Thanks.

If you are sure you have power and good ground at the charger, and also enabled the charger via Orbit, it should work. Only time it doesnt work is if the CEM module fitted to your car is the older version, in which case that would need to be replaced to support it.

Most cars from 2018 onwards support the WPC so you may have no power at charger caused by blown fuse etc or the signal wire isnt seated correctly at the brown connector on CEM. If you get the part number of the CEM it can be checked.

My CEM is part number 32254021.

How can I tell if it is compatible with the wireless charger?
The connections are correct and I have 12V.

Do I need to configure parameter 450?

By any chance do you have build date on the CEM?

450 is unchanged, it does nothing.
