Yes. What I tried to say earlier was that if some ENET/DoIP cable is not working the reason may be that connector housing is too tight for Volvo OBD port and cannot go far enought to connect properly. Every OBD II cable should fit in every OBD II port but sometimes they don't. It's about small differences in dimension between different cable connetor housings. In my case my ENET connector doesn't fit for my car's OBD port, but it does fit for the 2inch long OBD II adapter and the adapter fits my car easily.

I understand those are standards.   

I can only speak from my experience. It absolutely did not work. It worked for his BMW and it did not work on my car. I'm not making it up. 

I don't know if it didn't reach like Terrence said or what, but it did not work.
