Will the display function properly or will I have to try and program it? I know the mileage will be different.
Instrument sales staff told me that the fuel gauge display and low light icon, pilot icon will be abnormal ,I don't know if setting 157 will solve the problem. are you finished now? does it work well?

Any adivse on how to fix this? Thanks.

Has anyone solved the problem of the fuel gauge not working? Is there a way to fix this?

Yes i have. When i retrofited head up display, on my 2019 V60 i had to change DIM, because it didn't had second lvds output for HUD. I tryed 2 clusters, one from 2017 XC90 T8, and one from 2021 V60. Whith bouth i had the fuel problem. I sent a mail to support@ spaycetech.com, and Andrew found me software compatible with my car. In DIM is not 1 sofware, there are 10 PN software inside. In my caseonly 5 or 6 were the same

The higher mileage will be displayed* but not programmed. Those types of displays, from what I know, can have their mileage corrected only when bought new
Just to be clear, if its only displayed - will rolling back to the old DIM show the correct kilometers.
Want to make sure, if anyone has done the swap and installed one with a higher kilometers, if its permanent.
Considering a 12" DIM with unknown kilometers and equipment level, any specific equipment option that cannot be changed if it differs?
Will decode the PIN and get going with the install if anyone can confirm what is actually possible, some conflicting advice in this thread.
Anyone with actual experience on replacing the DIM, and perhaps getting one with higher kilometers than the original?
My V90 has 300,000km, so hopefully an unknown donor DIM from early 2018 would hopefully be below that.
Thank you (to whoever answers) in advance.
Edit: Valuable info to someone with the same question. Put a DIM in a 2018 V90 today with more kilometers, 357000, did not start the car, reverted back to the old DIM with the correct kilometers displayed. Would assume that if you move or even start the car it might make it permanent.

Want to highlight Södertäljes comment as I learnt this the hard way today.
Original 8" speedo kilometers: ~300000km
First 12" speedo kilometers: ~357000km
Installed the first speedo as it was advertised with far less kilometers, didn't start the car, reverted to original - all fine displaying the original/correct kilometers.
Returned the first 12" speedo to the seller with 357000km as it was advertised as somewhere in low 200000km.
Second 12" speedo kilometers:
Upon installation the second speedo showed donor vehicles lower kilometers, ~101000km.
When starting the car went to ~357000km.
So this means that Södertäljes comment is correct, if you connect a speedo with higher kilometers, even if you revert to the original speedo without starting the car - its stored somewhere and will be added to a new speedo or module with lower kilometers. Wow, thanks Volvo.
Surely stuck now with the new kilometers adding 57000km to my car.
At the acceptance stage while writing this.
Hope this helps someone.

I was hoping to never see this kind of reply. I have seen it happen on another car; that's why I issued the warning. Hope your weekend gets better!
