Engine Remote Start
Just to confirm, if my Volvo App does not have the remote start / remote climate (mild-hybrid AAOS car), no setting changed via Orbit will enable this?

I saw on this thread, post #28 that it would not work but it's been a few years.
Say I switch 045 to Remote Engine Start Precond from smartphone app, would this allow the app to start the engine and climate?

I'm in Austria where it's apparently illegal despite every other car manufacturer allowing it.

The Settings you change via Orbit are only lokal...
Your App is Volvo Cloud. Changes in Orbit will not enable the button in the app.

Damn, that's what I figured.
So there's no way of getting remote start/climate to work?
Talked to the dealer and they also said they can't do it as it's not supported by Volvo here.

Figured it was worth a try with Orbit but at least knowing it won't work will save me the 325$ for it :/

Thanks for verifying though!

You can start the car by Key! But atm the climate won‘t start until i‘m inside and confirmed the Engine Start.

Edit: Climate work but shows „Off“ in the middle screen. But not as powerful as completly started.
Also the hatch by foot work for me..

x119 in USA, we have more violent crimes and less auto theft Big Grin That's why we get no double locks, no motion sensor, no steering lock...not that you can really get away with the remote started car any more than if it weren't running.

But we can set our own preference with OrBit ;-)

By the way do you know if the double locks can be disabled using OrBit? The double locks sometimes freeze during winter

Tried out the the config settings - ERS works, no remote window function though, but ran into some trouble with DTCs that refuse to be erased. My V60 2019 is equipped with Continuously Controlled Chasis so I already suspected, that it won't be glad about me chaning parameter #50 to something else than 04 - CCD. Got two notifications in dashboard - suspension failure and headlight service. The worse part - they won't go away even after reverting the changes. SUM complains about central configuration - not programmed and CEM says that invalid serial data received from Headlamp. So be careful about changing parameter #50 if your car has electronically controlled shocks. Will let you know how I solved the problem. Hopefully by the help of Andrew.

Update - the main cause was the missing calibration of level sensors, which is wiped out of the SUM along with changing the config paramter #50. But Andrew helped with calibration procedure and now everything is back to normal. No ERS from the fob unfortunately.
