That's a normal feature of the app, as long as the car and country allows it. This thread seems to be about starting via the fob.

yes, but this guy got it available in a country (germany) where it normally does not work. Therefore I am wondering if its possible.

I just contacted him to ask how he did it and how much
Update: so got it touch with the guy. He is from Germany. He would've be able to do this Online as well since his software is mainly based on DSA (which I think its an older tool) and VIDA but not fully. It would've cost €100 (which seems reasonable) but the problem is and I quote "volvo found out about this and they banned the feature from his software" and he is looking at ways to fix this but for now he cannot do it. I'll wait

I tried changing the configuration and the remote start does not work for me. xc40

I made the update a few days ago and still no luck with remote start.
