Enabling Pilot Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control
I don't know the answer for your question but maybe I do something wrong so the ACC works below 30. Car stops and restarts. I can do some tests if you guys like to check what you are writing. I have T6 plugin from Sweden.

Hi,

A member from Volvo forum (NL) told me to put ACC to 04 acc with stop & go level 1.

I have adjusted this and will test it tomorrow and will update here.

On my car V60 2021 D3 AWD, the setting 023 - Cruise Control was suggested by the preset configurator to be set to 04.

NOTE: I today configured keys to my car and read the error codes at the same time. There was one for the changed items:

ERROR CODE:
BCM:
U2108 - Adaptive Cruise Control - System Programming Failures- Invalid / Incompatible configuration.

The error code keeps coming back on next drive. ACC and PA are working fine without any issue.

EDIT: Changed config slightly:
023 to 03 (Adaptive Cruise Control, level 1).
145 to 01 (Without traffic jam assist)
148 to 01 (Without curve speed warning, without curve speed assist)
RESULT: As expected PA no longer available. Adaptive Cruise control works fine, disconnects when speed goes below 30km/h. No error codes.

BTW, i had the setting 238 - Top Damping, Brakes as set to 01 (without top damping), and i left it as such even the preset suggested to go for 02 with top damping.

@Jerma75: that's weird that you get an error. Indeed the setting 238 Top Damping should not be adjusted when you don't change the Hydraulic unit.

This morning I was able to test the Stop & Go level 1 and it works perfect!! Tested it with ACC and Pilot assist in 2 small traffic jams. Car is stopping to 0 and then drives automatically. Didn't had to push any button but the car stood only still for 2/3 seconds max.

So for everybody that want to use ACC/PA in traffic jam use the Stop & Go level 1 function (I have a MY2019 T5).

You also have level 2, 3 and 4 if I'm correct but don't know what the difference is exactly.

I'll weigh in...I do recall I may have seen that BCM code on my 2019 S60 as well, only set after some time of driving, not affected anything. This is not the same as the flurry of codes you get and dash warning messages if say the ABS config clear fails to run after changing settings and write config (you can resolve that by running ABS config clear from the Service tab)

Quadrantz...the PA/ACC enabling presets always set the "top damping" config for the car that has the traditional brake system (not the vacuumless system of the hybrid  and EV cars), to "02 with top damping" as that is the factory setting Volvo uses. Now that may not be the thing to do, when the hydraulic unit hasn't been actually replaced. Previous experience that I remember, is that PA/ACC might not work if that is not set, as there is no Volvo factory confguration that would have PA/ACC in the traditional brake system car, without being equipped with top damping.

If you got some experience to indicate there is a better way to do it, I would definitely change the config presets to do that, tell me what have you observed...

The idea with the presets is the automatic setting of the best compatible settings, based on how Volvo sets things for each different variation of model and equipment. Then anyone who wants to tweak things further or play around, of course you can change any individual setting you like in the config table.

@Power6

On this moment I have set ACC to: 04 Adaptive cruise control stop & go, level1

Traffic jam assist is set to: 02 With traffic jam assist level 4

I haven't changed the Top damping settings. I have a MY2019 XC60, haven't checked the hydraulic unit so maybe I already have to new one?

For me PA and ACC are both working very good and also in traffic jam Smile

Hi All,

I have XC90 with ACC/PA, wondering is it possible to prolong or disable "apply hands" warnings?
