i bought my lvds cable from aliexpres due to volvos priceing being redicules for that part
now to my question. do anybody have the instruction how to remove the hole dashbord in an v90 t8?
And if someone have the correct wiring diagram for volvo v90 t8 my18 the whold also help. i only have acces to volvo 2024 wiring diagram and it might not be correct to my car.

remeber that one end has to be a 90° (bend) and the other 0° (straight)

Connecting the HUD is not that complicated, but the job of pulling out the dashboard and cutting it is pain in the bud. Volvo should have made this replicable from the windshield like BMW. Here is the wiring diagram for S90 from MY17 and MY18 but main components like HUD. are still the same today. https://forums.spaycetech.com/attachment.php?aid=335

First, you'll need to find a used HUD. Not that a problem these days from ebay.
you'll need to buy the VLS cable (from HUD to DIM), some connectors and pins, the trim that covers the HUD. (Don't know if your current one and the regular one are the same size)
You'll need to pull out the dashboard, cut the hole for the HUD (again don't know if your current one is the same size)
Connect the HUD, configure via orbit and put the dash back.
But before doing all that, test it first.
You can only pull out the DIM, connect and wire it. Then configure it from Orbit. see that is working only then pull out the dash if you still want to go with it.

We have been in this debate, it's not required! VOLVO keeps telling it does because they sell it more expensive. There is a heated windshield that is not suitable for HUD because of the heating elements inside the glass, it distorts the reflection. My friend replaced his windshield with aftermarket regular one and he has no issues!
