Not all CEMs are supported for pin retrieval. That was initially announced

Yes this correct. OrBit can program keys on any car, BUT retrieving the "Security PIN" that is needed to do it, is only possible on the CEMs that have the '5748G' processor. We can't retrieve it from the '5646B' or '5646C' based units.
Generally 2017 and earlier not suported. Some 2018 and most 2019+. It depends for the newer models if they are spec'd with the HIGH CEM (supported) vs the MID CEM (not supported). In some markets like the US all the cars look to have the HIGH CEM 2019-up.
Some newer cars in other markets though, have an updated MID spec CEM using the old processor, which isn't supported.
It's complicated to just have a simple statement about it (see above lol), you can't just tell if the car has a supported CEM, so that's why I had to handle it through OrBit checking and reporting if supported. And even THAT has gone through a couple updates, to not give false hope saying the CEM is supported and then fail the extract :-(

I have been trying to program two used oem keys for my 2018 v90cc. The key batteries are new. Each time I try, I get a error. I have even tried with the key that is already programmed to my vehicle. In the message box it says
OrBit connected
Starting key programming
Key program command failed
Error ECU key response unexpected
This problem has previously been reported in this thread with no responses.
Is this error message an indication that my extracted CEM pin is insufficent and that an immobilizer pin is also required by the cem/ecu?
Do I need to use vida to program my used keys?

Suggest emailing support(at)spaycetech.com and Power6 will be able to look at logs. It might simply be, that your cars aren't supported. There is a post above which sets out some of the parameters for Key Programming.

Hello,
I bought a "sport" key from Ali, after coding I am experiencing the following; it will not open the doors (keyless entry), nor start the car, unless the key is placed inside the cup holder.
Am I right to assume that the key battery is low? The car did not give me any notification of low battery, but I did not run it for long with this new fob.
