De-japanify my Volvo
#11
I have also attempted to perform this.
My findings:
If you remove/delete the Japanese maps, the ETC warning will disappear.
However, you may also lose the speed limit recognition.
I have also tried updating the maps & it seems to only recognize a USB with Japan map data.

How did you delete the maps?
I’ve tried things like spoofing the header etc and once managed to start the load of the EU Maps but it froze and then I had do a system reset to get things working again

I used Vdash for this.
Deleting map data is a free feature.
Please share how you spoofed the header. I'd like to try that with a small map.
