[S90 - 2017] Getting Drive Mode on-screen select to work without the selector switch
#1
Hi folks,

I'm trying to get the drive mode selector UI to show up on my S90 *without* having the physical hardware selector present.

I've set #057 to 03 and #452 to 01 but despite individual drive modes showing up under "My Car" in Sensus, I don't seem to have the drive mode option.

In addition, i've lost the 'Eco Mode' toggle on my main page as well as the hill ascent assist selector.

Any help here would be sincerely appreciated as I'm at a bit of a loss!

Has anyone managed to figure out what config combo will make this work on the xc90, v90 or s90?

Im in a similar position - s90 without the button.  I tried many combinations without success (i mainly want the polestar gear shift mapping, as i already have polestar tume from dealer).

Ive purchased a button panel to retrofit - but uncertain if it will be plug and play or require some wiring mods due to the rear seat climate control buttons.  Ill post back if i get around to installing Smile

I'm *really* trying to avoid putting in the hardware to support this, it looks like a pain in the ass to do.

Cars with the polestar pack fitted aftermarket seem to have the drive options *without* needing the drive selector toggle hardware so I'm presuming it *can* be done. Just need to figure out how.

It works on my V60 without any button and no polestar pack. I think the issue is only on 90 series for some reason

Yeah, which is very odd indeed, i'm not 100% certain but I remember the first thing I did when I bought this car was to dive into the settings and i'm pretty sure I saw the drive mode selector in there.

I'm also thinking to buy the control that sits under the screen from an XC40. The shape seems to be exactly the same and maybe I can get the Drive Mode button to work

Use the guide I posted on Swedespeed to revive the dead button on the CCD to change the Drive mode.

Quote:Orbit 057 needs to be changed to 02 and 452 needs to be changed to 02 and 337 needs to be changed to “with drive mode button”

Quick question, I think I'll defo be doing the blank button mod but out of curiosity, if I *just* change the above Orbit settings, will that unlock the drive mode in the sensus individual driver preferences UI even if I don't do the hardware mod?

Hey, sorry for the delay. If you don’t have either a button on the CSM or the drive mode switch you can still change the settings but you will not have the ability to change drive modes, so kind of pointless
