If you are talking about ECM "Engine control module" trouble codes "DTCs", yes you can.  You can also clear them. However, some trouble codes will come back after clearing them such as "P0171 - System Too Lean (Bank 1)"  because it requires to clear the adaptations.  A work around for this, pull out the battery negative port at least for an hour.
